To provide legal support and advice to the bank’s departments on corporate, commercial, regulatory, and contractual matters, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and internal policies while minimizing legal risks.

1. Legal Advisory:

• Provide legal opinions on corporate and banking matters.
• Advise on regulatory compliance with Central Bank and financial laws.

2. Contract Management:

• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements (e.g., service contracts, NDAs, facility agreements).
• Ensure all contracts protect the bank’s interests and are legally sound.

3. Corporate Governance:

• Assist with board and shareholder matters, company secretarial duties, and maintenance of corporate records.
• Support in managing legal aspects of group restructuring or new legal entities.

4. Regulatory Support:

• Support licensing, regulatory filings, and communications with financial regulators.
• Stay updated on new laws and advise departments accordingly.
• Experience:  Minimum 2 years of post-qualification experience in corporate or banking law, preferably in a financial institution or reputable law firm.

Skills:

Bachelors Degree in Law preferably English or French section.

• Strong knowledge of corporate and banking laws.
• Excellent drafting and negotiation skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
• Fluent in English; Arabic is a plus.
