What This Job Involves:
Supporting the team
You will be working side-by-side with the team to ensure the success of a project – from its initiation to design phase to construction and to completion. The projects are many and varied, including variations in project dollar value and complexity. You will be exposed to Fit-outs & Refurbishments for both Tenants and Landlords in Commercial, Retail, lndustrial, Hospitality and Education.
Managing multiple projects concurrently
Do you enjoy multi-tasking? Several projects are on-going at various stages hence you will have to coordinate with multiple vendors to ensure no downtime during works. You will be involved from preparing project specifications and project timeline, preparing tender or bid documents and vendor procurement as well as weekly project reports and updates to be submitted the stakeholders. Delivering projects within the established budgets and timelines is the key!

For this role, the successful Construction Manager should possess:
- 1. Possess an Architectural, Civil / Structural / Electrical / Mechanical / Environmental Engineering, Building Science, Project Management, Construction Management or other construction and engineering related degree;
- 2. The degree shall be recognised either by the respective Professional Bodies in Singapore (Board of Architects or Professional Engineering Board) or BCA;
- 3. A minimum of 5 years of relevant post-graduate working experience in the building construction industry, preferably in HDB projects or 3 years of relevant post-graduate project management experience;
- 4. Successfully completed the certified Construction Safety Course for Project Manager conducted by training providers accredited by MOM. The Site Project Manager without the Certificate of Construction Safety Course for Project Manager” shall attend the course and obtain it within 6 months upon his employment at the site. In the event that the Site Project Manager fails to obtain the “Construction Safety Course for Project Manager” within 6 months, HDB reserves the right to ask for immediate replacement of Site Project Manager;
- 5. Successfully completed the Design for Safety Appreciation Course conducted by training providers accredited by MOM. The Site Project Manager without the “Certificate of Attendance” shall attend the course and obtain it within 6 months upon his employment at the site.
- 6. Shall attend safety-related course(s) by training providers or organization accredited by MOM annually. The course(s) shall be relevant to upkeep their competency in safety management. The consultants shall be deemed to have included in the tender sum all cost and expense incurred for the training required.
- 7. Successfully completed the Registered Earthworks Supervisor Course by accredited training providers. The Site Project Manager without the “Certificate of Successful Completion” shall attend the course and obtain it within 6 months upon his employment at the site.
- 8. Possess a “Certificate of Competency in Earth Control Measures for Construction Site Personnel”. The Site Project Manager without the “Certificate of Competency in Earth Control Measures for Construction Site Personnel” shall attend the course and obtain it within 6 months upon his employment at the site. In the event that the Site Project Manager fails to obtain the “Certificate of Competency in Earth Control Measures for Construction Site Personnel” within 6 months, HDB reserves the right to ask for immediate replacement of Site Project Manager;
- 9. Successfully completed the CONQUAS training (for Developers & Consultants) by BCA. The Site Project Manager without the “Certificate of Attendance for the CONQUAS training (for Developers & Consultants)” shall attend the course and obtain it within 6 months upon his employment at the site. In the event that the Site Project Manager fails to obtain the “Certificate of Attendance for the CONQUAS training (for Developers & Consultants)” within 6 months, HDB reserves the right to ask for immediate replacement of Site Project Manager;
- 10. The Site Project Manager is well versed with MS Project

We employ talent from a wide range of backgrounds, though typically you should have a degree in a relevant field, and/or around three to ten years’ experience in design, construction, project management in interior fit-out projects for multinational clients. It would be excellent if you have a strong background in all aspects of interior fit-out management—including management on schedule, quality, cost and risk management, and negotiation, to name a few. Your expertise in surveying a client’s basic needs, completing commercial assessments, and preparing PM proposals will also be put to the test. Your quickness in understanding and dealing with a situation will be indispensable especially in carrying out value engineering, build ability analysis, critical reviews of design and documentation.
Business savvy and action-oriented
To excel in this role, you should have a high level of understanding and technical expertise in business. We deliver projects that help our clients succeed as well as help JLL achieve our business and financial goals.
Are you well versed in project products, systems, processes, tools and best practices? Can you handle the site operations no matter how complex it may be?
Likewise, you should have a great sense of urgency when it comes to solving problems, improving products or services, finding new markets, and implementing new strategies. You are resilient and can deal effectively with competing priorities and tight deadlines. You should know how to negotiate to generate risk-assessed solutions, and how to handle ambiguities.
A great communicator with superb organisational skills
