Engineering Co-ordinator and Medical Devices Lead | Engineer Department | Private Hospital | 37.5 hours per week | Worcester | Excellent benefits
Spire South Bank Hospital are looking for an experienced Engineering Co-ordinator and Medical Devices Lead to join our Engineer department on a full-time, permanent working contract.

Duties And Responsibilities:
- Coordinate service visits by external contractors in accordance with HS21 and ensure suitable permits are issued and service sheets / reports are correctly filed.
- To maintain and update records on the ‘Pirana’ Engineering computerised maintenance management system (CMMS) to comply with the Engineering HOP16 policy
- To ensure that all service contracts are kept updated on the ‘Pirana’ CMMS under task ‘SCON’ and that contract renewals are actioned in accordance with ‘Pirana’ work schedules.
- Keep a comprehensive record of all local contractors that carry out engineering tasks / service work on site and to ensure current copies of all their Insurances and RAMS are on file in accordance with hospital policies HS21and Pirana task ‘HS2112M’
- Coordinate the GE Nuvolo and Pirana asset management systems with hospital dept. equipment leads to ensure all Bio-Medical equipment under the GE contract and non-GE (Pirana) are added and removed accordingly in all depts. To comply with Clinical Policy ‘Clini 53’ and records kept including updating the relevant asset systems
- To ensure all Engineering dept. Health and Safety information is kept current and reviewed accordingly to any changes in operating procedures / risks
- Assist with email enquiries from contractors and service providers and feedback to the Engineering Manager with any actions taken.
- To ensure that Engineering compliance is maintained by ensuring all PPM and Reactive work orders are closed out in a timely manner to ensure overdue / late tasks are kept to acceptable numbers agreed by regional engineer
Who We'Re Looking For:
- Ability to work with common computer software packages e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to pay attention to detail
- Good interpersonal skills and telephone skills
- Experience of working within healthcare sector an advantage
- Knowledge of dealing with contractors and engineering administration an advantage
- Additional training may be required as part of this job role
- Identify personal training and development requirements & discuss appropriate solutions with the Engineering Manager
Shift Pattern: 37.5 hours per week, working Monday to Saturday between the hours of 08:00 to 16:00 or 09:00 to 17:00
