The U.S. Consumer Services Team is responsible for our suite of consumer products, services, and experiences in the U.S., including our premium, cobrand, cash back, and lending portfolios, Membership Rewards, Global Travel & Lifestyle Services, the Centurion Lounge network, our Global Dining and Resy businesses, U.S. Consumer Banking, and best-in-class marketing programs across customer, prospect, and partner channels. The U.S. Consumer Marketing team (USCM) is part of the US Consumer Services Group and is responsible for making membership essential by creating and delivering world class marketing for our differentiated products and services that drives demand and inspires engaged card members across the customer lifecycle.
The Membership Activation & Recognition Marketing team sits within the US Customer Loyalty Team (USCLM) and delivers on the promise made at moments of relationship creation and expansion. This team is responsible for opening the doors of Membership by welcoming, recognizing, driving adoption and persistent engagement to foster top of wallet behaviors.
We are looking for a strategic, results-driven and customer first Senior Manager to lead our Digital Features and Payments Marketing Strategy.
In this role, you will set the vision, drive the strategy and execute high impact marketing initiatives to advance USCM’s drive to digital strategy and usage of digital wallets like Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Samsung Pay — unlocking greater digital engagement and spend.
You will lead a team of 2 direct reports and collaborate across key stakeholders in Amex Digital Labs, EDX, EDDS, Global Servicing, Credit Risk Fraud, work to maximize our digital feature discoverability and engagement efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and deliver comprehensive and compelling end-to-end marketing and communications strategy across the full Customer digital landscape (including Amex Web/App activity, key feature penetration and Digital Wallet adoption) to drive awareness, activation, and engagement.
- Own partner wallet marketing relationships with Apple, Google, Samsung representing AXP marketing at internal and external partner meetings, communicating plans and negotiating new, joint marketing opportunities.
- Collaborate closely with the product team to understand product roadmap, and goals for Amex digital ecosystem, features, and digital payments. Support efforts to drive product and feature enablement and translate these into differentiated marketing tactics.
- Define & deliver business case & marketing plan for digital features and wallets using an insights-driven, multi-channel approach, including incentives to drive activation in key customer segments layering product level insights and leveraging blue box heat moments.
- Work with analytics to develop customer segmentation, targeting and capabilities to drive meaningful campaigns.
- Manage and mentor 2 analysts by setting a clear vision, promoting collaboration and supporting individual growth in a dynamic environment.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 5-7 years proven experience in customer marketing strategy and execution experience across digital channels.
- Strategic and creative problem-solver who thrives in dynamic, fast-paced settings; able to challenge the status quo, innovate proactively, and drive results while balancing the details required to execute
- Exceptional storytelling and communication skills, with the ability to adapt style for diverse stakeholders and influence and align senior leadership and external partners on strategy and vision
- Track record of driving measurable results through creative, customer-centric marketing
- Strong project management skills with attention to detail and the ability to prioritize effectively and drive results
- Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to leverage data to make informed decisions and translate insights into winning strategies
- Proactive self-starter with the ability to take initiative, adapt well to change, and problem-solve independently
Minimum Qualifications
Salary Range: $103,750.00 to $174,750.00 annually + bonus + benefits
