The Opportunity
This Sr. Analyst will be responsible for helping develop and maintain the day-to-day reporting, data analysis, and strategies supporting the Centralized Data Strategy and Analytics team. This role will also be responsible for providing analytic and reporting support to each area in Enterprise Compliance and Regulatory Affairs (ECRA). A clear understanding of the business use around data is required to ensure accurate and timely reporting.At this time, Ally will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position.This position reports to the office on hybrid bases #LI-Hybrid
The Work Itself
- Define, build and document the end-to-end process of reporting applications used in ECRA.
- Define and recommend measurements, strategies, and reporting using data to drive valuable business decisions
- Increase productivity and improve effectiveness of existing processes
- Provide analytics subject matter expertise
- Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
- Work with both internal and external teams to identify key data elements for inclusion and use in development of new reporting across ECRA
- Support ad-hoc requests from business partners
- Identify and escalate risks and controls
The Skills You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, Information Science or similar background
- 3+ Years of Data and Business Analysis required, preferable with a banking or financial institution
- Intermediate level or higher experience with SQL programing language and writing queries in Snowflake or other relational databases
- Experience performing trend and defect analysis and building MIS reports
- Expert level usage of all MS Office tools, especially Power BI
- Understanding and commitment of the continuous business improvement process.
- Knowledge of risk management and control principles.

Base Pay Range: $70000 - $100000 USDAn individual's position in the range is determined by the specific role, the scope and responsibilities of the role, work experience, education, certification(s), training, and additional qualifications. We review internal pay, the competitive market, and business environment prior to extending an offer.
