Job Description

About Us:

At the Ohio Department of Health, we’re more than a workplace—we’re a statewide force for better health. Within the Bureau of HIV/STI/Hepatitis (HEP), we work hand-in-hand with communities, equip providers with the tools they need to succeed, and help shape the next generation of public health leaders.

We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Disease Intervention Consultant to join our team. Whether you’re conducting site visits, reviewing case data, coaching local teams, or responding to an outbreak—you’ll be changing lives every day.

  • Train local agency staff on partner services, Ohio Disease Reporting System software, active surveillance, case management, and CDC standards.
  • Provide ongoing technical assistance to public/private health partners and DIS supervisors.
  • Assist in development, implementation, and evaluation of HIV/STI prevention strategies and program standards.
