Who are we looking for?
We’re looking for an Environmental Engineer/Scientist to become an integral part of our growing team based in Perth.
Our Contamination Assessment & Remediation business group has grown rapidly in recent years and is currently one of the largest groups in WA, being a market leader in the provision of contaminated land, hazardous materials, environmental engineering, acid sulphate soils, asset transition including mine closure planning, and waste management services. Our diverse team has been contributing to a wide variety of projects ranging from regional to national and global opportunities, with the flexibility to meet the many needs of your career, life stages, and location preferences.
Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:
- Delivery of projects in accordance with industry standards, relevant Acts, Regulations, and guidelines.
- Plan and deliver field investigations, including soil, groundwater, surface water, and soil vapor sampling, using various methods and equipment.
- Regularly undertake travel to remote areas and the Perth metropolitan region as required by client or project needs.
- Perform data analysis and interpretation, using appropriate software and tools, such as ESdat, Excel, and statistical packages.
- Manage project budgets, schedules, and deliverables, ensuring timely and cost-effective completion of tasks.
- Coordinating the work of the team, mentoring junior team members, fostering their professional growth and development.
- Contributing to the preparation of high-quality proposals and technical reports following relevant standards and guidelines and as per the requirements set out in the winning work cycle, or as per regional workflows.
- Stay up to date on industry trends and best practices, participating in continuous learning and professional development activities.
What you will bring to the team:
- Bachelor of Engineering (Environmental) or Bachelor of Science (Environmental) degree or equivalent qualification.
- Current drivers’ licence (c class).
- 3+ years relevant experience in specific and/or related environmental fields. A varied projects background is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of presenting technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
