In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Act as a key liaison between customers, technicians, and internal teams to ensure timely and accurate parts fulfillment
- Provide expert advice on parts identification, availability, compatibility, and alternatives using multiple systems and resources
- Process customer orders, returns, and transactions with precision, ensuring compliance with company policies and financial controls
- Maintain optimal inventory levels through proactive stock monitoring, cycle counts, and coordination with suppliers and warehouse staff
- Support warehouse operations including receiving, shipping, labeling, and organizing parts to ensure efficient workflow and safety compliance
- Mentor and train junior parts personnel, sharing technical knowledge and best practices to build team capability
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, contributing ideas and leading small projects to enhance service delivery and operational efficiency
- Identify opportunities to upsell complementary products and services, contributing to revenue growth and customer satisfaction
- Ensure all customer interactions reflect Cummins’ commitment to quality, integrity, and excellence
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical or vocational training in automotive or mechanical fields is advantageous
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and inventory/order management systems; ability to generate reports and analyze data
- Proven experience in parts operations, preferably within the heavy vehicle, diesel engine, or industrial equipment sectors
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-first mindset and the ability to build trust and rapport
- Demonstrated leadership potential, with experience guiding small teams or taking initiative in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure
- Willingness to comply with export control or sanctions regulations, if applicable
