Sr Manager- Data science

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly capable and experienced Project Manager – AI to lead and manage AI and Data Analytics projects, with a strong focus on stakeholder management, risk mitigation, and vendor coordination. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of both technical and functional aspects of AI platforms and prior experience with Indian government entities or similar organizations.

Key Responsibilities:

Program/Project Management Skills (20%)

• Lead large-scale AI and data-driven projects from initiation to successful closure.
• Develop and manage detailed project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
• Ensure timely delivery and alignment with business objectives.

Analytical and Technical Understanding (20%)

• Analyze requirements and translate them into actionable development plans.
• Collaborate with technical teams to understand platform architecture, design, and functionality.
• Evaluate AI models, data processing techniques, and system integration aspects.

Risk and Issue Management (20%)

• Identify, analyze, and manage potential project risks and issues proactively.
• Develop risk mitigation strategies and implement contingency plans to ensure project continuity.
• Maintain risk logs and conduct regular reviews with stakeholders.

Vendor Management (10%)

• Manage end-to-end vendor engagement including preparation of RFPs/RFQs.
• Ensure vendor deliverables are aligned with project goals and contract terms.
• Monitor vendor compliance and performance metrics.

Communication and Stakeholder Management (10%)

• Act as a liaison between business, technical teams, and government stakeholders.
• Provide clear and concise updates to senior management and clients.
• Facilitate stakeholder meetings, manage expectations, and ensure satisfaction.

Desirable Experience (20%)

• Prior experience working with Indian government agencies or in public sector environments.
• Hands-on exposure to AI, Machine Learning, and Data Analytics project lifecycles.
• Relevant certifications such as PMP, Prince2, or AI/Data Analytics certifications are preferred.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields.
• 8+ years of experience in project management with at least 3 years in AI/Data Analytics domains.
• Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills:

• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Familiarity with AI/ML tools and cloud-based platforms.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
