Envision a world where every transaction feels effortless, safe, and connected. At Nexi, we’re leading this transformation, building tools and solutions that redefine how the world pays. By joining us, you’ll play a part in creating the next generation of digital payments in an innovative, supportive, and international environment.
Why This Role Is Right for You
As a Compliance Senior Specialist, you’ll join a collaborative and forward-thinking team based in Poland. Together, we work on ensuring regulatory compliance and risk management across Nexi’s operations in Poland. Our team plays a key role in shaping internal solutions, maintaining alignment with both national and European regulations, and supporting the company’s status as a National Payment Institution.
- About Your Future Role
- In this position, you will:
- Designing solutions and ensuring the company’s compliance with regulations through independent control functions and managing compliance risk—understood as the risk of consequences arising from non-compliance with legal regulations, internal policies, and market standards (including UUP, PSD, AML, DORA, as well as other areas beyond payment services such as finance, technology, or integration).
- Conducting audits, oversight, and regular evaluations of actions taken to ensure that the Payment Institution (PEP) fulfills its legal obligations under the regulations governing the operations of a National Payment Institution.
- Overseeing the monitoring of legal changes affecting the company’s operations and planning the necessary actions resulting from those changes.
- Supervising the reporting schedule to regulatory authorities.
- Preparing management reports for the company’s corporate bodies in the area of compliance.
- Analyzing new projects, products, and services introduced by the Payment Institution (PEP), or modifications to existing ones, in terms of compliance with legal regulations, internal policies, and market standards.
- Participating in the implementation of internal and group procedures and supporting training processes for organizational units regarding new legal regulations.
- Managing publications on the KNF portal and distributing relevant information within the group.
- Communicating with regulatory authorities—both Polish and international—including KNF, NBP, UOKiK, GIIF, and being responsible for cooperation with external and internal auditors.
- Actively participating in working groups organized by industry chambers such as the Polish Bank Association (KAR) and PONiP.
- What Makes You a Great Fit
- We’re looking for someone eager to make a difference. Here’s what we value:
- Essential Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar position
- Experience working with institutions supervised by the Polish Financial Supervision Authority (UKNF)
- Strong knowledge of national and European legislation related to National Payment Institutions (KIP)
- University degree in law
- English and Polish languages proficiency at B2 level
- Very good command of the MS Office suite
- Highly developed analytical skills
- Excellent organizational skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving
Even if you don’t check every box, your unique potential and willingness to learn could set you apart.
