• Job Title: Senior Project & Automation Engineer

Location: Dubai

• Employment Type: Full Time (4 days office, 1 day WFH)

The Job

ETAP is looking for a Senior Project & Automation Engineer who is a Power Management System and Power Plant Controller Expert for Renewable /Solar Segment.

Key Responsibilities

• Project Management from conception to completion, to ensuring on-time and budget delivery.
• Preparation of Engineering Design documents as per project specification and management of design document approval process.
• Power Plant Controller and Hybrid Power Plant Controller software/logic development expertise in Codesys, and prepare the operation philosophy document.
• Prepare, coordinate, execute factory and site acceptance tests along with commissioning of SCADA/ADMS/EMS/DMS/SPM system to the client's satisfaction, provide on-site customer training, and ensure compliance with project requirements.

Essential Requirements

• Power Management System Expert to manage multiple generators' load sharing, load management, synchronization with grid and generator power.
• Knowledge of Load Management Systems, managing load shedding, load restoration, and programming using IEC-61131.
• Power Plant Controller and Hybrid Power Plant Controller software/logic development expertise in Codsys or Equivalent Platform.
• Sound knowledge of communication protocols such as MODBUS, PROFIBUS, DEVICENET, DNP-3, IEC-60870-5-101/103/104, OPC, Kepware and IEC-61850.
• Expertise in the Automation and Electrical Protection System.
• Solar Power Plant Designer, Programming and Knowledge of power plant controller and Inverter.
• Proficiency is English (any other language knowledge is highly desirable).

Desired Skills

• Instrumentation/Electronic & Telecommunication/Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum 7 years of working experience in Renewable Solar SCADA and Oil & Gas sector.
