The Flight Simulator Technician is responsible for ensuring that the Flight Simulator(s) remain Ready for Training (RFT) at all times and that the simulation environment is as accurate and realistic as possible. This includes conducting hands-on testing prior to each session to ensure operational reliability and realism.

Key responsibilities will include:

Serve as the deputy in charge of all engineering and maintenance operations at the SriLankan Flight Training Centre, including the management of SriLankan Flight Simulator Training Devices (UL FSTDs).
Work on a roster basis with the technical team to support daily operations of the Training Centre and maintain simulator(s) in RFT condition at all times.
Carry out both scheduled and ad hoc maintenance as prescribed by the Original Equipment Manufactur-er (OEM) in accordance with the Simulator Maintenance Manual and Simulator Operations Manual.
Develop and maintain interactive programs that closely replicate real-flight experiences, while support-ing redesign and enhancement projects related to simulator performance.
Liaise with the Flight Training Centre Manager, regarding simulator serviceability and operational status, ensuring the safety, security, and functionality of all facilities, equipment, and systems.
Develop and endorse program-specific plans, procedures, and work instructions to support technical op-erations.
Ensure all maintenance activities comply with Civil Aviation Authority of Sri Lanka (CAASL) and other regulatory requirements, including conducting simulator evaluations, implementing FSTD changes in line with qualification standards, and preparing regulatory documentation.
Provide technical support to ensure simulator(s) remain fully operational by efficiently carrying out both routine and special maintenance tasks, while contributing to the achievement of corporate, depart-mental, and divisional objectives.

Requirements

6 Passes at GCE O/L with 4 Credits in one sitting and credits for English and 2 passes at GCE A/Ls and qual-ification in Electronics equivalent to NVQ Level 5 and 4 years work experience in a relevant discipline. OR
6 Passes at GCE O/L with 4 Credits in one sitting and a credit for English & full professional qualification in electronics equivalent to NVQ Level 6 and 2 years work experience in a relevant discipline.

(Trainee and internship experience will not be considered as work experience)

Age to be not more than 30 years as of 18th October 2025 which is the closing date.
