We utilize proven technology, specialized teams, and domain expertise to build solid technical foundations across platforms, data, and business applications. Our passion lies in leveraging technology to solve business challenges, partnering with clients to help them achieve their strategic objectives.
About The Role:
As a Solutions Architect, you’ll play a pivotal role in designing scalable, secure, and cost-effective IT solutions that power the UK’s energy transformation. Working within the central architecture function, you’ll collaborate closely with stakeholders across major programmes, ensuring that technology decisions align with enterprise standards and deliver lasting value.
You’ll work at the intersection of technology and strategy — translating complex business requirements into elegant, actionable solutions. Whether it’s defining cloud architectures, supporting integration strategies, or ensuring compliance with data and security standards, your expertise will help shape how technology underpins the next generation of energy networks.
This is an opportunity to be part of a forward-looking team delivering real impact across critical infrastructure projects, supporting the UK’s journey to net zero.
As a Solutions Architect, you will:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable, secure technical solutions.
- Design, document, and present architectures that align with enterprise standards and regulatory requirements.
- Evaluate and recommend technologies, platforms, and tools to support project delivery and long-term sustainability.
- Lead design reviews and provide technical direction to development and infrastructure teams.
- Support implementation teams in troubleshooting and resolving architectural issues.
- Work across multiple programmes, balancing short-term delivery needs with long-term strategic goals.
Requirements
- Proven experience in solution architecture, with a record of delivering secure, scalable, and high-performing systems.
- Experience working within the energy, utilities, or infrastructure sectors — or in similarly complex, regulated environments — would be highly advantageous.
- Broad technical knowledge across security, networking, virtualization, and real-time systems.
- Strong experience with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.
- Confidence working in both agile and waterfall delivery environments.
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts for technical and non-technical audiences.
- A proactive, consultative mindset — able to build trust, influence decisions, and drive consensus among diverse stakeholders.
