The Boeing CompanyThe Boeing Company has an exciting opportunity for an Experienced Engineering Technical Specialist (Level 3) to join our team in Pleasanton, CA.
The engineering technical specialist plays a crucial role in a variety of engineering tasks, which include, but are not limited to: coordinating process documentation, assisting with visit and security paperwork for travelers, ensuring engineers have the necessary resources to perform their duties, facilitating data transfers, supporting the development and tracking of metrics, and undertaking additional responsibilities to support the engineering team.
Position Responsibilities
- Develops, documents, implements, provides consultation on the application of, and ensures compliance with, requirements for use of engineering tools, processes and standards.
- Provides training and assistance in the utilization of processes and tools and supports the integration of engineering designs.
- Ensures regulatory requirements are met. Identifies and validates user access roles, produces tip sheets and understands system interoperability.
- Provides configuration management, coordinates changes, performs assessments of compliance and manages the implementation of product standards across company business units and programs.
- Represents company interests on external standards committees and develops, adapts and/or adopts external standards for internal use.
- Develops, maintains and distributes engineering documents, reports and correspondence to enable business activity.
- Collects, analyzes and validates engineering performance metrics and coordinates organizational requirements to support business needs.
- Works under general direction.
This position has been identified as a virtual opportunity and does not require applicants to live in Pleasanton, CA.
Travel may be required up to 10% of the time; Domestically and/or internationally depending on business needs.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)
- 6+ years of work-related experience with a Bachelor’s OR 4+ years of work related experience with a Masters OR 10+ years related work experience
- 3+ years’ experience working with and/or coordinating across engineering disciplines to identify best practices and implement on multiple programs
- 3+ years’ experience using excellent verbal and written communications skills
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years’ experience with data analysis
Typical Education & Experience
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 6 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+4 years' related work experience, 10 years' related work experience, etc.).
