Position Overview
The Appointment Setting Team Lead will act as both a player and a coach — managing and mentoring a team of appointment setters while personally engaging in daily outreach activities. This individual will be responsible for meeting performance targets, ensuring quality conversations, refining scripts, and fostering a positive and results-driven environment aligned with the company's values.
Key Responsibilities
1. Team Leadership & Coaching
- Lead, motivate, and support a small team of appointment setters to achieve daily and weekly goals.
- Conduct regular check-ins, performance reviews, and provide real-time coaching and feedback.
- Ensure all team members uphold high standards of professionalism, empathy, and integrity in every client interaction.
2. Appointment Setting & Lead Conversion
- Personally handle outbound calls and messages to qualify prospects and schedule consultations with coaches.
- Manage a personal quota of daily outreach (using an auto-dialer and CRM).
- Ensure all leads are pre-qualified based on the company’s criteria before booking appointments.
3. Process Management
- Oversee team workflow, call activity, and conversion metrics through CRM dashboards.
- Maintain accurate records of leads, outcomes, and follow-ups.
- Suggest improvements in scripts, call strategies, and tracking systems to maximize results.
4. Reporting & Communication
- Prepare daily and weekly reports on team performance and appointment-setting results.
- Collaborate with operations and sales management to ensure alignment on targets, schedules, and lead hand offs.
- Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and strategic planning calls.
5. Quality & Culture
- Promote a culture of empathy, positivity, and ethical sales practices.
- Model professional communication and demonstrate emotional intelligence in every client and team interaction.
- Support new team members during onboarding and ensure consistency in tone, language, and client experience.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an Appointment Setter, Sales Development Representative (SDR), or Inside Sales Representative (minimum 2–3 years).
- Previous leadership or team lead experience in a sales or call center environment is highly preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills — ability to inspire, guide, and coach others.
- High emotional intelligence and strong ability to connect authentically with clients.
- Proficiency in using CRM systems (HubSpot, GoHighLevel, or similar).
- Familiarity with Slack, Google Sheets, and Microsoft Office tools.
- Results-oriented mindset, with strong organization and time management skills.
- Comfortable working in a remote, performance-driven environment.
- Must be open to coaching, adaptable to feedback, and committed to personal and team growth.
