Patient Scheduler - Providence Imaging Center

Under supervision coordinates patient reception, scheduling and registration. Obtains and records all data relative to the registration process. Maintains knowledge of insurance and third-party payers, computer data-entry and forms and the Advanced Beneficiary Notification (ABN) process.  Answers all incoming calls using correct phone etiquette and displays exemplary customer service skills.

This posting is for multiple openings of a Patient Scheduler at Providence Imaging Center, Anchorage, AK. We offer several openings for various FTEs and shifts. We are hiring for the following positions in the Department:

    • Patient Scheduler  - Full-Time (1.0 FTE, Day Shift, 40 Hours Per Week)

Required Qualifications

• Experience with multi-line telephone systems, personal computer, printers, copiers and fax machines. 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Medical terminology.
• 6 months of Clerical background involving public contact, preferably medical. Ancillary department (such as Radiology), clerical or Admitting Representative/Scheduling specialist experience.

The amounts listed are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
