Position Summary

The IT Specialist  II  is expected to join the Bell IT, SAP  team  will be responsible for developing/designing/reviewing ABAP programs (ABAP OOPS, OData, RFC Function Modules, Data dictionary object, BADI, BAPI, User-Exits, Smart forms, SAP Scripts, Adobe Forms, Enhancements, Interfaces, Reports IDocs,Workflow), bug fixing and enhancing existing programs, preparing Technical Specifications (based on the Functional Specifications) and Unit Test Documents. Needs to coordinate with all the stakeholders (Basis, Security, Functional) teams across the globe to get the requirements fulfilled, participate in architecture, implementation, design, administration, maintenance, documentation and support of SAP projects and enhancements, leading and managing the SAP projects, guiding the team, setting the standards and estimates

Principal Responsibilities

• 10+ years of hands-on IT development experience
• Provide technical expertise to cross-functional teams and mentor junior developers in ABAP development, coding standards
• Implement solutions using modern frameworks like ABAP on HANA and  Fiori .
• Recruit and train Interns/Junior developers
• Lead ABAP teams in designing, developing, and deploying, reviewing the code, and setting standards.
• Should have worked on Implementation, support, rollout and upgrade projects.
• Should have vendor management experience.

Technical Competencies

• Strong programming background with the ability to architect end to end business solution of medium to high complexity
• Proficient knowledge in the following:
• o   Core ABAP, OOABAP, All RICEFW objects
• o   Expertise in optimizing code and troubleshooting complex issues.
• o   Enhancement Techniques: User exits, BADIs, enhancement spots, and implicit/explicit      enhancements.
• o   SAP Forms: SmartForms, SAPscript, Adobe Forms.
• o   RFCs, BAPIs, and IDOCs: For seamless integration with other SAP and non-SAP systems.

O   Functional Understanding:

• o   SAP Modules Knowledge: Familiarity with major sap modules., to align technical   
• o   solutions with business processes.
• o   Cross-Module Collaboration: Ability to work with functional consultants and understand  
• o   end-to-end business flows

O   Development Tools:

o   SAP Fiori/UI5: Basic exposure to front-end technologies is increasingly valuable.

o   SAP S/4HANA: Understanding of CDS views, AMDP, and HANA-specific optimizations.

Minimum Engineering Degree (B.Tech/BE) in IT or Computer Science is required
