Business Controller (for Services of 3 business areas in Asia Pacific), based in Thailand or Indonesia or India

We Are Looking For A Business Controller To Join Our Packaging And Paper Service Finance Team And Support The Service Business In Asia Pacific (Ap) Across Paper And Packaging (Pac), Pulp, Energy And Circularity (Pec), And Tissue Services.

In This Key Role, You Will Act As A Trusted Business Partner To The Pac And Pec Ap Service Leaders, Combining High-Level Financial Insight With Hands-On Execution. You Will Lead A Team Of At Least Two Service Controllers And Report To The Director, Packaging And Paper Service Finance.

Your Key Responsibilities Include:

• Business Partner with PAC and PEC Service Leaders in AP to support strategic decision-making and operational excellence.
• Deliver financial analysis and actionable recommendations to meet business and financial targets.
• Take a hands-on role in monthly reporting, forecasting, and performance tracking.
• Analyze results, validate data, and ensure accurate and timely reporting across the organization.
• Lead, manage and develop the AP Service Controller team, fostering a collaborative and performance-driven culture.
• Control customer orders and capacity costs together with your team
• Provide financial support and control for AP PAC & PEC service organizations (sales and operations)
• Contribute to global finance development initiatives and ensure local implementation of tools, principles, and processes.

• Excellent prioritization and time management skills, especially under pressure.
• Collaborative and influential team player with strong interpersonal skills.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in finance, including a solid background in controlling.
• Master’s degree in Finance, Industrial Management, or a related field.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
• Previous managerial experience is an advantage.
• Proficiency in Office 365 (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams); experience with Power BI is a plus.
• Willingness to travel as needed (reasonable amount)
• The Packaging and Paper Service Finance team consist of service and business controllers across all Valmet geographical Customer Areas. The team collaborates closely globally and with other Valmet finance teams.
• Does not require Work Permit to work in Thailand, Indonesia or India.
