About The Role:
InPost has a fantastic opportunity within our Edinburgh based ’Financial Planning & Reporting (“FPR”) team. Our FPR team works closely with our businesses creating a real and active partnership with both our Operations and Management teams. Their role is to provide 'real time' support and analysis, to be a trusted adviser and to add value that will assist in strategic decision making.
Working in FPR, you’ll have to juggle lots of tasks to meet deadlines and often use problem solving and judgement skills. Our FPR team are great with people and instinctively know what needs to be done to put things right. So, if you’re naturally inquisitive, analytical and like a challenge, then FPR could be for you.
Our appointment will enable the team to continue to strengthen our relationships with our businesses through the provision of more meaningful budgeting, forecasting and long-term planning for our Newstrade commercial and operations teams.
In position you will provide effective commercial procedures, or initiate change, to ensure key operational, commercial and financial targets are delivered. You will build partnerships and maintain strong relationships with all senior managers and their teams.
You'll work alongside experienced professionals on everyday projects. So, you'll get a good insight into working life at InPost.

What You’Ll Be Doing:
- Lead the Revenue reporting for Newstrade, building a full understanding of the contracts underpinning the revenue streams.
- Drive the annual revenue planning cycle, as well as owning regular reforecasts.
- Prioritise procioess improvements in revenue reporting, working closely with our business stakeholders to drive maximum value.
- Lead the management accounting, KPI and other regular reporting
- Continue to develop the performance reporting analysis
- Completion and review of monthly balance sheet reconciliations
- Monitor, develop and maintain key departmental processes and procedures
- Involvement in key major projects which will impact the Newstrade division
What We Need From You:
You will be currently working in a similar role, keen to use your grounded understanding to transfer to InPost, and experienced in using software packages such as SAP, Oracle TM1 and Microsoft Excel to deliver the role in style and be a qualified accountant, such as CIMA.
You will have a flexible attitude to work, a charismatic business partner style, a knack for making the numbers come alive, a logical approach to prioritising daily tasks and a reputation for keeping a cool head under pressure.
