About The Role

An exciting opportunity to support the delivery of response repairs and maintenance. In this role, you will work closely and flexibly with other staff in ensuring professional, cost effective, customer focused services that deliver high quality outcomes. The purpose of this role is to deliver a high-quality maintenance service to customers, through the provision of professional technical advice, as well as project and contractor management. 

The duties of this role are to: 

  • Participate in contract meetings and contract briefings
  • Manage a range of contractors, ensuring they deliver in accordance with their contract and KPI's. 
  • Manage external relationships with key stakeholders, such as Local Authorities and suppliers, that builds trust and confidence in the Homes and Investment Team.
  • Provide regular and professional communication and liaison with customers and key stakeholders in relation to works instructed and managed by the service
  • To assist in the delivery of specialist work programmes, ensuring works are to standard, contractor performance is in line with KPI's and value-for-money is achieved.
  • Take full responsibility and manage all assigned cases from start-to-finish in a professional and efficient manner whilst ensuring that appropriate stakeholders and appropriate databases are updated regularly
  • Ensure budget responsibilities are met, feeding into forecasting and efficiency plans as required
  • Prepare and present reports for managers

About You

To Be Successful, You’Ll Be/Have:

  • Extensive experience of surveying in a response repairs and maintenance setting
  • Minimum Level 4 surveying qualification, e.g. HNC/HND. Or equivalent experience and a willingness to complete a HNC as part of your employment with us after successful Settling-In Period (6 months). Membership of a relevant professional body is desirable e.g. RICS, CIOB etc
  • Successful record of managing an extensive, complex and varying caseload, with projects from inception to completion
  • Demonstrable experience and skills managing customer relationships to ensure a high level of customer care and satisfaction

Salary: £39,221.00

  • Working Hours: 37 hours per week

Contract Type: Permanent

Base: Hybrid working - working from office, home, site and in the community as needed.  This role requires you to typically work from the office at least 2 days per week.

Your base will be: West - New County Hall, Truro, TR1 3AY. 

Our West area centres around Truro city and beautiful Falmouth and their surrounding villages and rural areas, across to the stunning coastlines of Perranporth and St
