About The Role
As a Software Engineer III, you will contribute to meaningful projects within a specific software area or product line. You will have opportunities to solve challenges, design program flows, write effective code, and conduct testing. We value curiosity, teamwork, and a willingness to learn.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with team members to identify and address security needs in Java code repositories.
- Work with colleagues in security, DevOps, and data engineering to apply safe coding practices and enhance automated workflows.
- Create and maintain Java components that support our data platforms.
- Support data integration and automation initiatives using ETL tools.
- Participate in code reviews, threat modeling, and security assessments as part of a supportive team.
- Share knowledge and document technical solutions to support best practices in secure development.
- Engage in various data engineering tasks, benefiting from an environment that encourages learning and inclusion.
- Professional experience with Java development (Java 17+).
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and design principles.
- Experience working with Java frameworks such as Spring Boot or similar.
- Create and maintain Java components that support our data platforms.

Requirements
- Familiarity with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server) and the use of SQL scripts.
- Proficiency in creating and working with RESTful web services and API integrations.
- Experience using version control systems such as Git.
- Effective problem-solving and debugging abilities.
- Clear communication skills, both written and verbal.
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)
- Experience with microservices architecture and distributed systems.
- Knowledge of DevOps practices (e.g., CI/CD, containerization, cloud platforms).
- Understanding of Agile methodologies (such as Scrum or Kanban).
- Experience using Playwright or similar tools for automated testing of web applications.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (such as Azure) is welcome.
- Knowledge of modern monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK stack.
- Experience with testing frameworks (e.g., JUnit, TestNG) and unit testing practices.
