Job Summary:

The Clinics, Camps, and Combines Manager will assist in overseeing Utah Jazz Camps, Clinics, Combines, Shoot 360, and UCC. This person will be part of the planning, development, and execution of our new Combines program for youth throughout the state involved in basketball and other sports.

Duties And Responsibilities:

  • Assist in building short-term and long-term organizational plans for Combines.
  • Work with the Camps & Clinics Coordinator to plan, organize, and conduct clinics, combines, and camps throughout Utah and Idaho.
  • Network with coaches and players throughout the state to hire and develop coaches to assist with camps, clinics, and combines.
  • Develop and nurture relationships with high school basketball coaches, athletic departments, and other youth-related organizations throughout the state.
  • Serve as a liaison with Shoot 360 facilities in Lehi and Kaysville and establish revenue-generating opportunities.
  • Manage Shoot 360 revenue shares with CBG.
  • Assist in the organization and implementation of Utah Coaches Collective Clinics.
  • Collaborate internally with various departments and externally with parents, community partners, and sponsors.
  • Develop coaching and officiating resources for Junior Jazz and other Jazz Youth programs.
  • Assist with Utah Jazz Youth events and programming as needed.
  • Be a good teammate, contribute positively to a winning culture, and be respectful.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is preferred.
  • Excellent customer service and time management skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience working in youth basketball is preferred.
  • Familiarity with child safety protocols, first aid/CPR, waivers, background checks, and insurance matters.
  • Polished presentation skills with the ability to communicate with large groups and clients.
  • Basketball coaching experience is required.
  • Experience programming and organizing large events.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and prioritize under a heavy workload.
  • Ability to work camps and clinics and work irregular hours (evenings, weekends, holidays) as required.
  • Proficient in basic computer software programs.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.
  • Must be able to pass a Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) screening in accordance with company policy and insurance requirements.

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to communicate and express themselves both in writing and verbally.
  • Must be able to observe, inspect, estimate, and assess.
  • Must be able to sit, stand, bend, walk, and climb stairs for extended periods.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.
