Designs, implements, administers, and monitors performance of enterprise databases. Provides technical leadership and mentoring to other Database Administrators, ensuring database integrity, security, and availability. Responsible for capacity planning, performance tuning, disaster recovery planning, and troubleshooting complex database issues. Participates in architectural decisions related to new technologies and works closely with application development teams to integrate database solutions. Assists with establishing and enforcing database best practices and standards.
Job Responsibility
1.Designs and implements new database systems and makes significant changes to existing ones, considering factors like performance, scalability, security, and maintainability.
2.Proactively monitors database performance and identifies bottlenecks.
3.Implements tuning strategies to optimize database efficiency and response times.
4.Forecasts future database capacity needs based on business growth and application demands. Plans and executes upgrades or migrations to accommodate these needs.
5.Implements and tests backup and recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and business continuity in case of failures or disasters. Implements and maintains database security measures, including access controls, encryption, and auditing. Stays up-to-date on security best practices and vulnerabilities.
6.Diagnoses and resolves complex database issues, including performance problems, data corruption, and connectivity issues. Provides on-call support as needed.
7.Develops and maintains scripts for automating routine tasks like backups, performance monitoring, and user management.
8.Applies patches and upgrades to database software to maintain stability and security. Plans and executes these updates with minimal downtime.
9.Provides technical leadership and guidance to a team of Database Administrators. Delegates tasks, setts priorities, and mentors junior team members.
10.Works closely with application development teams, system administrators, and business stakeholders to understand their needs and provides effective database solutions.
11.Establishes and enforces database standards and best practices to ensure consistency, maintainability, and security.
12.Creates and maintains comprehensive documentation for database systems, including architecture diagrams, configuration settings, and troubleshooting guides.
13.Evaluates new database technologies and makes recommendations for adoption based on business needs and technical feasibility. Leads or participates in database-related projects, including upgrades, migrations, and new implementations.
14.Works under minimal supervision, uses independent judgment requiring analysis of variable factors.

Job Qualification
·Bachelor's degree, required.·5-7 years of relevant experience, required.
