Supervisor, Software Development, Engineering and Services

Job Description

Supervises the staff and activities of the Software Development, Engineering and Services team to ensure achievement of department goals and objectives. Oversees the day-to-day operation, maintenance, and enhancement of providing architect design and software engineering support to solutions.

Job Responsibility

1.Promotes Software Development, Engineering and Services department goals by selecting, motivating, and training capable team members.
2.Leads the activities of assigned team members by communicating and providing guidance toward achieving department objectives.
3.Hires, trains, and supervises staff; evaluates performance and ensures appraisals are completed on a timely basis.
4.Works with stakeholders to understand functional requirements of solutions.
5.Coordinates and provides day-to-day oversight to team members in the implementation of one or more software methodologies.
6.Provides direction and guidance to team members in the management of application transitions where there is an upgrade, new release, or user interface change.
7.Leads the team in day-to-day configuration activities including system implementations, upgrades, testing, and training.
8.Conducts business analysis and gathers requirements for requested configuration tasks and projects.
9.Participates in testing activities, evaluation, and validation of vendor software upgrades, bug fixes, and services.
10.Provides training and orientation to new staff and development of staff on current and upgraded systems.

Job Qualification

·Bachelor's Degree required, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
·4-6 years of relevant experience and 0-2 years of leadership / management experience, required.
