Senior Director, Data Management Office

About The Role

Are you passionate about turning data into commercial impact? As the Senior Director of the Data Management Office (DMO) at 3Shape, you’ll lead the transformation of how data drives business decisions across our global commercial organization.

This is a strategic leadership role where you’ll define and execute a company-wide data vision—ensuring our commercial, customer, product, and transactional data is governed, leveraged, and activated to support growth, innovation, and operational excellence.

You’ll be at the center of our data-driven transformation, working closely with senior business leaders to translate data into actionable insights, enable scalable analytics, and build a foundation for smarter commercial execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and lead a commercial-focused data governance strategy across customer, product, behavioral, and transactional data domains.
• Partner with commercial leaders to ensure data supports business-critical initiatives such as go-to-market strategies, customer segmentation, and performance tracking.
• Drive alignment between decentralized data functions and enterprise-wide priorities.
• Lead major cross-functional data initiatives, including launch processes and commercial enablement programs.
• Oversee data quality efforts and support the development of strategic data products and platforms that empower commercial teams.
• Enable decentralized analytics through scalable governance and self-service capabilities.

Collaboration & Stakeholders

Reporting to the SVP of Strategy and Business Development, you will:

• Collaborate with VP/SVP-level stakeholders across Commercial, Marketing, Product, and IT to align data strategy with business needs.
• Maintain dotted-line relationships with decentralized analytics teams to support governance adherence and data maturity.
• Lead a multinational team of 30+ FTEs across Data Governance, Data Projects & CoDP, and Analytics & BI.
• Coordinate specialized sub-teams including process specialists, data project managers, engineers, and analysts.
• Guide data professionals in delivering high-impact solutions that support commercial decision-making and strategic growth.

What We’re Looking For

• 10+ years of experience in data strategy, governance, architecture, or analytics, with a strong focus on commercial applications.
• Proven success in driving data initiatives that support sales, marketing, customer experience, or product strategy.
• Experience in technical environments with mature data architecture and governance.
• Strong stakeholder management and ability to build consensus across functions and seniority levels.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing large-scale data programs.
• Prior leadership of a Data Management Office or similar function.
• Experience leading leaders and managing diverse, international teams.
