Description
Supervise and perform maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting work in the trades to ensure that facilities are properly
maintained and meet LSSSC standards. Duties to perform and supervise may fall into a variety of trades, including:
Carpentry, Plumbing, Electrical, Painting, HVAC, Roofing, Flooring, Windows/Doors, Data cabling CAT6, Fire and Life Safety,
and Security Systems. Plan daily work, produce weekly schedules, and manage facility projects. The Supervisor of Facilities
Maintenance will report directly to the Operations Manager.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
· Perform and supervise daily tasks, monthly reports, various assignments, inventory control, material ordering/pick-
up and ensuring jobs are being performed by scheduled due date within the established work order system
· Perform and train as needed preventative maintenance and/or repair of Electrical, Plumbing, Carpentry, HVAC,
Roofing, Painting, Doors/Windows of commercial and residential properties.
- Identify department needs, goals and gaps. Communicate those areas to management.
- Forecast space needs and design workstations to include furniture and cubicle panel configurations.
- Plan and direct building services, including custodial, landscaping and property management at our leased sites
- Use independent judgement in significant matters when coordinating emergency procedures affecting building
And Grounds
· Work with Operations Manager to set overall maintenance department goals, processes, and procedures to
Accomplish Company Objectives
- Responsible for weekly one-on-one meetings and annual evaluations with maintenance staff
- Responsible for ensuring each site has a safety plan and resources provided as needed
- Responsible for presenting accurate information to the Operations Manager on a weekly and monthly basis
regarding all facility maintenance business
- Experience hiring and supervising outside vendor/contractors to perform work needed at LSSSC site
- Ability to receive multiple bids for projects to be performed within strict deadlines and budget
- Perform duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring an efficient and effective work environment for all staff at

Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent computer skills and ability to conduct business with a professional demeanor by means of email, in-person, phone and text. Conduct and attend online meetings with staff and contractors.
- Excellent communication skills both oral and written.
- Excellent organization skills in all aspects of self-sustainment, project management, schedules and bids
- Senior level knowledge and experience working in one or more building trade crafts.
- Ability to troubleshoot successfully within all aspects of maintenance along with guiding and training of the such
- Ability to organize workload, define priorities, and complete tasks in an efficient and timely manner
- Must be versatile, self-motivated, and challenged by unusual jobs and variety of work
- Demonstrated ability to read blueprints and able to work from them
- Ability to efficiently and safely operate hand tools and motorized equipment
- Ability to remain flexible in working with change in priorities
- Flexibility to work outside normal business hours
- Valid driver’s license
- Proven ability to deal with people in high stress situations with empathy and concern.
- Demonstrated experience working with culturally and economically diverse groups of people.
Education And Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 10+ years of working with computers and proficient in MS Outlook, Excel and Word
- 10+ years of experience supervising maintenance technicians
- 10+ years of experience performing preventative maintenance
- 10 + years of experience within one major maintenance trade
Language Ability: Must be able to read, write and speak fluent English. Ability to follow directions, policies, and procedures.
Math Ability: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Supervisory Responsibilities: Oversee technicians within the department
