We are currently seeking a VP of Financial Coordination & Development who in conjunction with the CFO, SVP, and in collaboration with internal and external partners, will translate executive-level strategies into actionable execution plans across Finance. This role serves as a trusted advisor and fixer, coordinating solutions to complex challenges, fostering key relationships, and ensuring operational follow-through that supports Lafayette Federal Credit Union’s growth, member experience, and industry leadership.

Requirements

A day in the life of a VP of Financial Coordination & Development will include:

  • Partnering with the CFO and SVP to evaluate strategic opportunities, drafting actionable plans, and coordinating implementation across the Finance organization.
  • Serving as Finance Department liaison on executive-level projects, ensuring strategic initiatives are translated into concrete execution steps with cross-functional alignment.
  • Managing select external relationships (including venture capital and institutional partners), identifying needs, recommending solutions, and coordinating execution with internal teams.
  • Supporting the CFO and SVP on special projects requiring strategic evaluation, problem solving, and process improvements across Finance and related areas.
  • Assisting with secondary market processes, including coordination of loan purchases/sales and related financial reporting functions, ensuring smooth transactions and accurate reporting.
  • Periodically reviewing the Credit Union’s products, services, and internal processes to identify and recommend opportunities for enhancements that improve member experience and operational efficiency.
  • Providing technical and project support across Finance, collaborating with IT and other departments to resolve issues and implement efficiency-driving technology.

Experience:

  • Seven to ten years of related financial services, banking, or strategic project management experience.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (MBA, CFA, CPA, or similar) strongly preferred.
