Grand Junction, Co

  • One Full-Time Position. 40 hours per week.
  • Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm.
  • Hiring Range: $15.51 - $15.97 / hr., depending upon education and experience. 
  • This position will remain open until filled.  

Minimum Requirements

Required:

• High School graduation or equivalent, minimum age 18.

Preferred:

• Moderate to advanced computer experience in a variety of mediums.

Position Summary

The Administrative Assistant is responsible to provide excellent internal and external customer service and support to every person receiving services, foster family, host home, biological family, visitor, and employee of Ariel. 

Ariel Clinical Services Mission

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Not all duties will be performed by all incumbents)

  1. Greet and provide directions for people receiving services, customers, and employees entering the building, as well as those on the phone.
  2. Maintain strict confidentiality with all information that Ariel Clinical Services has at its disposal.
  3. Coordinate with Office Manager and Admin Supervisor to purchase office, cleaning, and industrial supplies, including timely and accurate inventory of such items.
  4. Maintain appropriate calendars by working hand in hand with the training coordinator and Admin Supervisor; make reminder calls before the trainings.
  5. Ability and desire to learn how to use, troubleshoot, and assist others with office equipment. Complete fax and postal needs of the organization.
  6. Work hand in hand with team supervisors to ensure the office is running smoothly. This may include duties such as room scheduling, scheduling trainings, organizing and providing supplies for meetings, and more.
  7. Create, maintain, and present Standard Operating Procedures.
  8. Maintain a record of all monies received by the agency following Standard Operating Procedures.
  9. Assist with file maintenance including filing in binders and archiving documents as needed. Scan and save documents in different platforms on computers.
  10. Assist with Information Technology (IT) issues as needed and requested.

Additional Duties and Responsibilities 

  1. Must work closely with other Ariel Programs and offices.
  2. Performs other duties as assigned.

Education And Experience

Required:

• High School graduation or equivalent, minimum age 18.

Preferred:

• Moderate to advanced computer experience in a variety of mediums.

Physical Demands

  1. This position requires that the incumbent be capable of bending, sitting, stretching, and/or reaching regularly for periods up to two hours without a break. 
  2. This position requires that the incumbent have adequate hand and finger dexterity to properly perform the functions of the position.
  3. This position requires lifting regularly up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 40 pounds.
  4. This position requires the ability to hear, see, smell, and distinguish temperature, at a level which is adequate to ensure client and staff health and safety. Adaptive devices are acceptable.
  5. Exposure to typical climate-controlled office environment when in the office.
  6. Exposure to blood borne pathogens and infectious disease is possible but limited.
  7. Exposure to hazardous chemicals is possible but limited.
