The Account Executive is responsible for driving the growth of Kainos Workday Services across both existing and new medium enterprise customers within the UK & Ireland.
This role focuses on building C-level / Director level relationships, leading proactive sales and lead-generation activity, and developing tailored go-to-market strategies for specific industry segments. The Customer Base Account Executive acts as a trusted strategic partner, aligning customer business priorities with Kainos’ delivery capabilities and the broader Workday ecosystem to achieve mutual success and measurable business outcomes.
Summary Of Responsibilities:
- Develop and expand director and executive-level relationships with key decision-makers, including C-suite and senior stakeholders, to position Kainos as a strategic Workday and transformation partner.
- Lead the creation and execution of strategic account plans focused on growth, value realisation, and multi-year partnership development.
- Own and deliver against defined Sales Order Value – SOV targets through proactive new business development and expansion within existing accounts.
- Drive opportunity creation through lead generation, targeted campaigns, and industry-specific outreach in collaboration with Marketing and Workday account teams.
- Maintain a strong and accurate opportunity pipeline within CRM, ensuring transparency and forecast accuracy.
- Define and execute go-to-market strategies for target industries or market segments, aligning Kainos’ service offerings with sector-specific challenges and Workday’s evolving market position.
- Contribute to the refinement of Kainos’ value proposition and messaging across Workday Services, ensuring alignment with customer needs and industry trends.
- Drive renewals, upsells, and cross-sells by identifying opportunities to expand the customer’s use of Workday and Kainos Services.
- Ensure ongoing customer satisfaction and retention through a focus on business outcomes, measurable value, and trusted-partner engagement.
- Build strong joint engagement plans to identify opportunities, share intelligence, and coordinate go-to-market activities.
- Support customers in maximising the value of their Workday investment through Kainos advisory, deployment, and optimisation services.
- Leverage customer success stories and executive advocacy to drive references and strengthen Kainos’ market reputation.
- Partner with Delivery Management and Solution Leads to ensure seamless execution of customer programmes and swift resolution of issues affecting satisfaction or delivery performance.
- Contribute feedback from customers and market activity to inform product, service, and delivery innovation.
- Ability to travel, as required
Minimum (Essential) Requirements:
- Excellent customer focus, able to assess customer needs and build relationships at a strategic, senior level.
- Proven experience in account management or enterprise sales within Workday, Oracle, SAP, PeopleSoft, or equivalent ERP environments.
- Demonstrated track record of achieving or exceeding sales quotas or SOV targets through proactive pipeline generation, account expansion, and strategic selling.
- Excellent communicator, able to communicate with customers and colleagues with impact and credibility. Sound ability to formally present to senior Client audiences
- Excellent consulting experience at a high level in an implementation environment
- Strong commercial awareness and complete understanding of project management and business dynamics, preferably within Workday or other ERP projects
- Broad business and technology understanding and a good awareness of industry trends in both HR and HR technology internationally
- Deadline driven, able to make sensible decisions under pressure taking a balanced view of Client demands and Kainos commercials
- Ability to widen and maintain a network of external contacts
- Understanding of risk management and able to manage risk within our customer projects
- Experience defining and executing go-to-market strategies for specific industries or customer segments.
- Collaborative and self-motivated, with a proactive, customer-centric approach to engagement and long-term value creation
