About The Role

Reporting to the Senior Tax Accountant, this role is a combination of financial accounting and taxation. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to gain in-depth knowledge of corporate taxation through hands on experience and engagement with the internal leadership team and external tax advisors. Prior experience working in a corporate finance team being involved with month end procedures would be an advantage.

Skills And Duties:

Duties:

• Month end accruals, expense allocation journals, balance sheet reconciliations
• Preparation of tax calculations and returns for the Australia and New Zealand entities of the business (GST, FBT, income tax, payroll tax)
• Maintaining transfer pricing documentation and related party reporting
• Preparation of annual work cover and payroll tax reconciliation
• Liaising with external tax advisors
• Responding to internal enquiries

Skills & Experience:

• Tertiary qualification in Accounting or Commerce 
• Intermediate/advanced skills in Excel (e.g. reviewing/building formulas, pivot tables)
• Ability to extract, analyse and interpret large volumes of complex data
• ERP system experience
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an inquisitive approach
