Job Description:
Experience required: 3-4 years
As an Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for managing and supporting distributed solutions with a focus on reliability, scalability, and security. Your role includes handling incident management processes, conducting root cause analysis (RCA), optimizing operational processes, and improving monitoring and observability. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance CI/CD pipelines and operational workflows. The ideal
candidate should have experience in IT service management (ITSM), AWS cloud technologies, and process automation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Incident Management: Handle end-to-end incident processes, ensuring timely resolution, escalation, and clear communication.
- Problem Management & RCA: Perform in-depth Root Cause Analysis and drive long-term corrective actions.
- Operational Enhancements: Streamline workflows and introduce automation to improve efficiency and reliability.
- Monitoring & Observability: Define monitoring needs, set up alerts, and ensure proactive detection of issues.
- Runbook Management: Maintain and improve runbooks to standardize troubleshooting and routine tasks.
- Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to strengthen CI/CD pipelines and operational practices.
- DevOps Support: Contribute to adoption of AWS cloud services and DevOps principles in daily operations.
Education & Experience:
- University degree in Information technology, engineering or equivalent
- Overall: 4–6 years in IT operations, production support, or similar roles.
- Incident/Problem Management: At least 2+ years hands-on.
- Automation/Analytics/Monitoring: 1–2 years experience in process improvements or tooling.
Mandatory Skills:
- Incident Management: Proven experience owning and managing incident processes, ensuring timely resolution and escalation.
- Problem Management & RCA: Strong ability to conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA), drive permanent fixes.
- Operational Workflow Optimization: Experience streamlining processes and introducing automation for efficiency.
- Data Analytics & Troubleshooting: Ability to analyze complex datasets, identify patterns, and troubleshoot effectively.
- Monitoring & Observability: Knowledge of monitoring tools, alerting mechanisms, and proactive issue detection.
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical mindset, clear communication, cross-team collaboration, ownership, and accountability.
Nice To Have:
- ServiceNow CSDM/CMDB: Familiarity with configuration data modeling and CMDB practices.
- AWS Cloud Services: Basic knowledge of AWS services relevant to Ops (EC2, S3, CloudWatch, IAM).
- CI/CD Concepts: Understanding of DevOps pipelines, deployments, and versioning.
- Automation Tools: Exposure to scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell) or workflow automation tools.
- ITIL Practices: Awareness of ITIL principles for Incident, Problem, and Change Management.
