Position Summary:

Under the direction of the Director of Hotel Operations the Hotel Revenue Manager is responsible for overall revenue management strategies. Focus will be on developing distribution strategies, room sales and revenue management processes to maximize revenue, coordinating with Hotel, Sales, Entertainment and Marketing. 

Essential Duties And Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement revenue management and sales strategies including room pricing and channel management to maximize RevPAR for Soaring Eagle Casino and Saganing Eagles Landing Casino & Hotel.
  • Ensure revenue management meetings are held at least weekly with all partners to evaluate overall pacing and demand forecasts to establish yielding and distribution management levels.
  • Maintain an awareness of industry trends, regional marketing strategies and potential revenue generating impediments.
  • Ensure resort services and revenue management systems are used and maintained. Remain up to date on new industry trends and technology, implementing new solutions or enhancing current systems to improve efficiency and enhance the guest experience.
  • Develop and implement reports and analyses to improve revenue in each market segment and distribution channel.
  • Consolidate, prepare, and communicate yield management data for senior leadership daily, offering recommendations for revenue maximization including forecasts, rate changes, impacts, and dilution and displacement analyses.
  • Analyze financial forecasts and evaluation of different marketing, value added, and pricing programs to ensure they are delivering the expected contributions to RevPAR and profits.
  • Identify operational deficiencies.
  • Provide excellent customer service for all internal and external customers of the operations at all times. Provide solutions for customer concerns and continually focus on customer service as our top priority.
  • Must maintain strict confidentiality and present a positive, professional demeanor and image at all times.

Contacts/Purpose Of Contacts:

  • Contact with department managers and directors of all Soaring Eagle Properties to coordinate selling strategies and gather input and data.
  • Possible contact with guests of all Soaring Eagle Properties for guest feedback pertaining to their wants and needs. 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance OR four (4) years directly related experience.
  • Understanding of managements reporting needs and the ability to translate information into readable and logical report structure.
  • Excellent proficiency and working knowledge of personal computer software programs such as Excel (can perform complex functions).
  • Five (5) years relevant operations leadership and experience in a major hotel/resort in a managerial position with knowledge of an Automated Revenue Management system.
  • Six (6) years’ experience in financial analysis, accounting principles and theories with the successful application of these concepts in a hotel/casino environment.
  • An equivalents combination of education and directly related experience may be considered.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a gaming license to meet the employment eligibility requirements as they pertain to the position. 

License, Certification, Or Special Requirements:

  • Native American preference shall apply to all positions. 

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities:

  • Knowledge of accommodations, features, amenities, gaming, packages, group sales, events, rates, promotions and all terminologies for Soaring Eagle Properties.
  • Knowledge and detailed understanding of how applications support and augment revenue management.
  • Knowledge of software including but not limited to RMS, CRM, PMS, OTA and channel managers.
  • Skill in operating business computers and office machines, including in a Windows environment, specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint and reservations systems.
  • Skill in preparing, reviewing and analyzing operational and financial reports.
  • Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports.
  • Ability to develop and maintain business relationships.
  • Ability to work and communicate effectively as a member of the management team.
  • Ability to strongly communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to actively listen with strong observational skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain professional relationships with individuals of varying social and cultural backgrounds and with co-workers at all levels.
  • Ability to represent organization in a professional manner, building respect and confidence in the community.
  • Ability to work with confidential information and maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks with a determined and committed strong drive to meet goals and
  • Ability to carry out instructions furnished in verbal or written format. 

Physical Demands:

  • Frequent use of hands, wrists, fingers associated with computer equipment and telephone operation.
  • Required to sit for extended periods of time.
  • Occasionally walking and standing throughout the resort and reach with arms and hands.
  • Normal visual acuity, ability to talk and hear.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. 

Work Environment:

  • Normal office environment.
  • Extended hours and irregular shifts may be required.
