Job Description
NBCUniversal’s Data & Legal Solutions team operates as a central program operations group embedded across Ad Sales, Direct to Consumer, Distribution, Marketing, Research, Technology, Legal, and HR as trusted partners working together to implement strategic programs throughout the enterprise to effectively close gaps between central business and technology groups across a variety of projects. We work to provide relevant insights & structure across our diverse portfolio to power intelligent business decisions required in order to compete within today’s extraordinarily complex multi-platform & fragmented media landscape.
The Compliance Operations Analyst will play a key role in operationalizing compliance across multiple domains—including privacy, data governance, accessibility, and risk. This role supports the design, execution, and continuous improvement of compliance programs, ensuring that business operations and technical solutions align with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and enterprise frameworks.

Responsibilities
- Support documentation of business and data landscapes to identify gaps related to compliance and operational controls across NBCUniversal frameworks.
- Contribute to the development, socialization, and execution of compliance strategies (privacy, accessibility, risk, consumer protection, governance).
- Act as a centralized support function for compliance workflows (e.g., Individual Rights Requests, accessibility testing, or risk assessments).
- Support the design of complex processes and ensure end-to-end process mapping to enable compliance by design.
- Recommend business process improvements based on analysis, best practices, and emerging requirements.
- Document project risks and issues and propose solutions to mitigate them.
- Facilitate and document collaborative working sessions with business and technical stakeholders; manage follow-ups as needed.
- Support business model innovation and process optimization to incorporate compliance and governance considerations.
- Apply methods and tools to drive operational effectiveness, efficiencies, and agility.
- Assist with strategic projects, including developing business cases, future-state processes, user stories, and value frameworks.
- Write or contribute to test scenarios; support UAT planning, execution, and results analysis.
- Provide advice on tooling and technology, including evaluating compliance platforms and workflow automation.
- Develop or contribute to cost analysis, design considerations, and implementation timelines.
- Liaise with external consultants, vendors, and internal technology teams.
- Assess scope and enhancement requests with a view toward ROI and compliance risk reduction.
- Manage program metrics, dashboards, and reporting.
- Support ad-hoc compliance operations initiatives as required.
Qualifications
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, technology, or related field.
- 3+ years’ experience in compliance operations, privacy, governance, risk, or related field.
- Knowledge of compliance regulations and industry standards (privacy: GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, UCPA, VCDPA; accessibility: WCAG, ADA; risk and governance frameworks).
- Ability to work effectively both independently and in team settings, especially under pressure.
- Goal-oriented, with the ability to conceptualize and deliver projects end-to-end while managing short-term milestones.
- Experience writing business and functional requirements, with strong documentation skills.
- Strong data analysis and reconciliation skills.
- Ability to identify opportunities to solve business and compliance challenges.
- Strong interpersonal and presentation skills to influence cross-functional leaders, including senior stakeholders.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, compliance tools (e.g., OneTrust), and collaboration tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence).
- A curious mindset and willingness to challenge the status quo.
Desired Characteristics:
- Professional certifications (e.g., CIPP, CIPM, CISA, CRISC, or equivalent).
- Experience in the Media / Advertising industry.
- Experience with accessibility standards, risk management, or enterprise governance frameworks.

- Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of 4 days per week.

Salary range: $75,000 - $95,000
