Position Objective:

Ensure the quality of every raw material that enters, as well as the quality of in-process and finished products, through instrumentation and wet chemistry analysis. Comply with corporate quality standards for the Oral Care, PCPs, Liquids, Soaps, Base Plant, and Water Plant focus areas.

Responsibilities/Activities

  • Wear all required safety equipment in the laboratory and comply with the safety training plan.
  • Comply with the training matrix (qualification program, training in SPI-LAB, and Learning Guide for Analytical Analysts LGAA training on the MindSpark platform).
  • Perform analysis of raw material, in-process product, and finished product following global and local analytical procedures (SPI LAB).
  • Statistical analysis of data.
  • Follow up on the activity program aimed at its total satisfaction (Full-time).
  • Comply with the calibration program for the laboratory instruments/equipment.
  • Develop and review the calibration procedures for each of the laboratory equipment.
  • Keep laboratory records current and accurate, according to the guidelines established in the laboratory testing standard.
  • Participate in the technician certification program.
  • Know and apply the standards of the Colgate quality system and the Factory Performance and Reliability standards, according to the responsibility matrix and implementation plans developed.
  • Stability program and visual inspection.
  • Wear all basic safety equipment and use the different safety training.
  • Statistical analysis of data.
  • Follow up on the activity program aimed at its total satisfaction (Full-time).
  • Comply with the calibration program for the laboratory instruments/equipment.
  • Develop and review the calibration procedures for each of the laboratory equipment.

Skills And Qualities

  • Education: Industrial Chemical Engineer or related career.
  • Experience: 6 months to 1 year and a half experience in similar operations.
  • Technical Skills:

  • Knowledge of analysis by instrumentation.
  • Knowledge of analysis by wet chemistry.
  • English intermediate to advanced
  • Knowledge of international pharmacopeias (USP, EP, NOM).
  • Quality Control.

  • Statistical Process Control.

  • Proficiency In Sap.

  • Technical Skills:

  • Quality Control.

  • Proficiency In Sap.

  • Knowledge of analysis by instrumentation.
