Purpose: Support the retail marketing team in bringing national campaigns to life at the local level through meaningful activations, community partnerships, and in-store experiences.
The Retail Marketing Specialist, Events will play a key role in supporting the Retail Marketing team by localizing campaigns and elevating the in-store event experience across North America. This role will focus on ensuring that all shop-led events and activations align with Lush’s marketing campaigns, product launches, and brand values. The specialist will partner closely with retail managers to provide guidance, resources, and creative solutions that help bring campaigns to life in a way that resonates with local communities and customers. This person knows how to translate brand marketing strategies into impactful, localized initiatives that drive traffic, foster emotional connections, and amplify the voices of local community members. They’re a collaborative, detail-oriented marketer who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about fostering brand love from the ground up.
Reporting to the Retail Marketing Lead, Events and Activations, the Retail Marketing Specialist - Events undertakes the following RESPONSIBILITIES:
Retail & Event Marketing Support
- Create, deliver and maintain event toolkits to empower shops to execute successful events.
- Collaborate with Retail Marketing Leads and the Advocacy and Activism Team to implement in-store activations, regional campaigns, and off-site events that align with brand values.
- Support the Retail Marketing Lead, Events & Activations in planning and optimizing shop parties throughout the year, ensuring they are tailored to enhance customer experience, drive traffic, and build lasting community connections.
- Manage event logistics, timelines, and post-event recaps to ensure seamless execution and continuous improvement.
- Develop localized, region-specific in-store activation plans for major brand moments across the North American market.
- Lead Tier 1 in-store events from budget management, conception to execution, offering strategic guidance to local managers and coordinating local vendors as needed.
- Act as a bridge between retail teams and the marketing department, sharing insights, feedback, and best practices to improve event outcomes.
- Streamline processes for off-site local events (e.g., bath bomb pressings, market pop-ups, mall activations) and equip managers with clear guidance to ensure seamless execution that adheres to brand guidelines.
- Provide guidance to shops on local marketing opportunities outside of events, such as collaborating with mall marketing teams, to optimize campaign reach and impact.
- Manage activation plans, timelines, and approvals across multiple store locations.
- Support retail leadership and shop managers in adapting national campaigns for local relevance while maintaining brand consistency.
Community Engagement
- Support Retail Marketing Leads in building community partnerships with local brands, venues, and organizations to enhance regional presence and collaboration.
- Assist in co-creating in-store events and grassroots marketing initiatives that foster local brand trust and deepen community engagement.
On-Site Event Support
- Assist the Retail Lead, Events & Activations, and Events Project Manager with on-site event setup, logistics coordination, staff training, and team management to ensure flawless execution.
- Support with event set-up and tear-down, ensuring all elements meet brand standards and timelines.
- Act as a point of contact for venue staff and vendors, managing communications and resolving issues in real time.
Performance Tracking
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to retail activations, local campaigns, and community partnerships.
- Analyze results and provide actionable insights to optimize impact and return on investment (ROI).
Administrative Support
- Manage the Lush Event email inbox, responding to inquiries and directing messages to appropriate stakeholders.
- Manage retail event asset request forms, placing branded tool orders and asset requests
You Bring The Following Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience in events, retail marketing or community engagement
- Strong project management and communication skills.
- Ability to navigate cross-functional teams and fast-paced environments.
- Creative problem-solving abilities and a solutions-oriented mindset.
- Experience with performance tracking tools and reporting.
- Passion for social impact, inclusivity, and representing diverse voices in brand storytelling.
- Previous experience in beauty, retail, or lifestyle brands.
- Familiarity with influencer and creator marketing strategies.
- Understanding of community-based marketing, particularly within Gen Z and millennial audiences.
- Experience working in project management software, such as Asana, is considered an asset.

- Field Retail Partners - Shop managers and Retailers for adapting national campaigns, coordinating local campaigns, and executing in-store experiences.
- Job Type: Full-time, permanent role.
- Location: Remote role. Open to candidates based in North America.
- Travel Requirement: 1-2 times/month as required for events happening across North America.
Base Salary Range:
- Canada: $60,000 - $70,000k CAD
- USA: $56,000 - $67,000k USD
This salary ranges are based on an assessment of the local market and may vary depending on the successful candidate's location. This range is based on base salary and does not include additional bonus program and total rewards eligibility.
