About The Role
As our Learning and Organisational Development Lead, you’ll be the architect of our organisational development strategy. Partnering closely with the Chief Leadership Officer and leaders across the business, you’ll design and deliver frameworks and learning experiences that build capability, foster engagement, and drive high performance. You’ll champion a values-led, people-at-the-centre culture, integrating Te Ao Māori principles and leveraging the transformative potential of AI and emerging technologies into skill development.
What You’ll Do (but is not limited to)
- Collaborate to shape and deliver strategic frameworks and roadmaps.
- Design and implement innovative learning and organisational development solutions that enhance skills and prepare our people for the future of work.
- Lead the development of leadership capability and cultivate a culture of continuous growth, engagement, and high performance.
- Partner with leaders and teams to design and embed the culture that we want to foster, particularly as we grow.
- Integrate Te Ao Māori principles and honour Te Tiriti o Waitangi in all organisational development approaches.
- Drive talent management, succession planning, and career pathways for our kaimahi.
- Own and continuously improve learning systems and platforms.
- Provide leadership for your team, fostering a collaborative, inclusive and high performing team environment.
Requirements
- Tertiary qualified in Human Resources, Organisational Development, Business Management, or related field.
- 5+ years’ experience in a senior People & Culture or Organisational Development role, ideally in complex, fast-paced, scaling organisations (construction/infrastructure experience a plus).
- Proven ability to coach and influence leaders and peers.
- Strategic thinker with strong business acumen and commercial savvy.
- Digital systems savvy, with the ability to extract and analyse data for decision-making.
- Experienced in designing and delivering learning and leadership development programmes.
- Committed to continuous learning, collaboration, and fostering a high-performance culture.
- An understanding of Te Ao Māori and a passion for embedding culturally responsive practices.
- Christchurch-based, with some travel required across the North and South Islands.
