Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and visionary Lecturer (Level B) - Social Work to join our growing discipline within the School of Allied Health, Sport and Social Work. This is an exciting opportunity for both emerging and experienced academics to make a meaningful contribution to social work education, research, and community impact.
As A Lecturer, You Will:
- Lead with purpose - design and deliver engaging, practice-informed education that prepares students for professional success and social impact.
- Inspire student success - use inclusive, evidence-informed and work-integrated learning approaches that build confidence, competence, and employability.
- Drive meaningful research - collaborate on high-impact projects in areas such as domestic and family violence, child protection, health care social work, or other practice fields aligned with your expertise.
- Collaborate with excellence - partner with leading Griffith research centres and Beacons, including the Disrupting Violence Beacon, Inclusive Futures Beacon, Centre for Mental Health Research, and Griffith Criminology Institute.
- Engage with industry and community - co-design curriculum and initiatives that address urgent social issues, ensuring programs meet ASWEAS accreditation standards.
This is a continuing, full-time position, primarily based at Griffith University’s Logan or Gold Coast campus. As Griffith is a multi-campus university, you may be required to work across other locations.
Griffith University’s sites are located on the lands of the Yugarabul, Yuggera, Jagera, Turrbal, Yugambeh and Kombumerri peoples.
Salary Range
The base salary will be Academic Level B $113,226 - $134,460 per annum + 17% superannuation.
The total package will be in the range $132,474 - $157,318 per annum.

You Will Also Have:
- A doctoral or master’s qualification (or equivalent standing) in a relevant discipline.
- Eligibility for professional membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).
- Evidence of innovative, evidence-informed teaching practice and commitment to continuous improvement.
- A collaborative mindset and the ability to foster productive partnerships across academia, industry, and community.
- Demonstrated expertise in one or more of the following:
- Domestic and Family Violence,
- Child Protection,
- Health Care Social Work.
