2026 Intern - Data Engineer

Job Summary

Internship opportunity for a college student majoring in Data Engineering or a related field to learn and support our data infrastructure and pipeline development efforts. This internship provides hands-on experience with modern data tools and technologies, and the opportunity to work alongside experienced engineers and analysts.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines
• Clean, transform, and organize raw data from various sources (APIs, databases, AWS S3)
• Support ETL processes and automate data workflows
• Monitor ETL jobs performance and troubleshooting issues
• Document data engineering processes and contribute to internal knowledge bases
• Interns are fully supervised and instructed on all assignments and are encouraged to confer with their superiors when any questions or problems arise.
• Perform miscellaneous duties as required by management.
• Must maintain appropriate attendance.
• Perform other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Proficiency in SQL and Python
• Knowledge on big data technologies (Apache Spark).
• Familiarity with AWS cloud and ETL components like Redshift, Glue.
• Knowledge of Data Warehousing concepts.
• Understanding of database systems.
• Strong analytical, detail-oriented and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to organize work and self and execute a wide range of tasks in a logical fashion
• Good decision making and documentation skills to interact effectively with team members
