Retailer Manufacturer Collaboration
Our solutions bring retailer data into a single platform that can be accessed by a retailer and its suppliers, putting the same data and insights on the desks of all parties to drive highly effective collaboration and growth. Every collaborative program is different, designed to meet the needs of the retailer, and Circana’s Liquid Data platform provides unprecedented flexibility that allows each platform to tailor the unique data assets of the retailer into actionable insights and recommendations. Collaborative platforms typically contain some or all of Point of Sale data, Supply Chain data, Loyalty Insights and Audience Building.
Our programs can have anything from a dozen to over a thousand supplier clients and as such, selling them is a complex process that depends on various Circana team members working closely together, following detailed processes and depending on essential automation. Selling of the programs is arranged in groups under different Commercial Leaders within the Retailer Manufacturer Collaboration (RMC) team. The Sales Teams own the value proposition, revenue goals and sales processes for their different programs.
What will you be doing?
As Senior Sales Manager, you will be an expert user of Circana’s retailer gateways. You will be able to demonstrate how suppliers can gain incremental value from these gateways and translate these approaches into compelling sales materials and client demonstrations. You will conduct ongoing group presentations to clients to share more about the various platform capabilities and you will lead one-on-one demos and sales pitches to clients.
You will liaise with your clients throughout the sales process and help resolve any contractual matters thru to final signature. You will perform post sales activity such as coordinating Third Party Agreements and supporting financial reporting.
To be successful in this role, you must demonstrate the ability to organize yourself across fluid priorities and be responsive to high volume enquiries from clients and client service teams
Job Responsibilities
Unify Expertise and Gateway Best Practice
- Develop a proficient level of expertise in the Unify platform in all of the available data models, including

Sales Communications
- Proactively identify, target and communicate to client prospects (either via client leads or directly) that currently don't subscribe to POS and Panel or aren't maximizing access
- Create and maintain written and recorded sales materials that demonstrate the value of the gateway programs
- Prepare and deliver sales pitches to clients, including dynamic sales demonstrations of the gateways in a one-to-one and group setting
- Manage contract red-lines for your clients, seeking approval when appropriate
- Work with client teams to close deals as efficiently as possible and own the signing process
- Provide backup sales support when needed to aid the dedicated Sales Support team (eg. email Helpdesk)
Post-Sales Activity
- Manage client non-payment escalations from Finance team
- Handle occasional client service complaints that escalate to Commercial
- Manage Third Party Agreement process for certain clients
- Support manager in financial forecasting and tracking
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- Minimum 7 years background in CPG, Grocery, Mass Merchandising, Drug Store or Club Retail
- Experience working with at least two of the following: retailer POS, supply chain or loyalty data
- Commercial acumen, great organizational skills and attention to detail
- A problem solver who can identify what needs to be true to solve any problem and thinks creatively to address issues
- Excellent in Microsoft PowerPointWord and Excel
- Prior experience with Circana’s Unify platform would be highly beneficial

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An employee’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. The salary range for this role is $75,000.00 to $110,000.00.
This job is also eligible for bonus pay.
