Job Description:
We are seeking a Trademark Counsel with deep expertise in life sciences, biotechnology, and technology-driven industries to join our growing legal network. This role is ideal for a mid- to senior-level attorney with strong skills in trademark prosecution, portfolio management, and IP strategy for innovative products and emerging technologies.
Responsibilities:
- Advise clients in the life sciences and biotech sectors on global trademark strategy, brand protection, and enforcement.
- Conduct clearance searches, risk assessments, and trademark availability analyses for new product launches and scientific innovations.
- Manage U.S. and international trademark portfolios, including filings, renewals, and opposition proceedings.
- Collaborate with R&D, marketing, and regulatory teams to ensure alignment between brand strategy and product development.
- Draft and negotiate licensing, coexistence, and consent agreements.
- Support clients with IP due diligence in mergers, acquisitions, and collaborations.
- Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent and active U.S. bar membership in good standing.

Minimum Qualifications:
- 10–20 years of experience in trademark law, preferably with a focus on biotech, pharmaceuticals, or technology sectors.
- Proven track record managing large or complex global IP portfolios.
- Strong communication and client-facing skills, with the ability to advise both legal and business stakeholders.
- Tech-savvy and adaptable, comfortable working with modern IP management tools and systems.
- Prior in-house or secondment experience with a life sciences, biotech, or technology company.
- Familiarity with patent-trademark overlap, IP licensing, and brand enforcement strategies.
- Ability to scale time commitment based on project needs (part-time ramping to full-time potential).

This role offers a range of competitive compensation starting at $127,000, and a highly competitive benefits package in the alternative legal services marketplace that includes health benefits, 401k, and more.
