Behavioral Education Specialist

Here’S What You’Ll Be Doing:

• Performs initial screening to determine appropriateness and need of services.
• Conducts a comprehensive assessment of clients identifying strengths, weaknesses, problems, and the needs for the development of a behavior modification plan.
• Administers programs and services for behaviorally or emotionally troubled students for the purpose of improved functioning and ensuring program eligibility and compliance with established guidelines.
• Assists in developing procedures and training materials for all staff involved with students.
• Assists director in relaying information to appropriate staff about behaviors and provides support on how to cope with these behaviors.
• Assists with planning and implementation of summer programming for Summer Day Camp and Summer Youth Employment.
• Provides individual, group, family coaching to assist client in goal of achieving a healthy lifestyle.
• Documents in a timely fashion the results of assessment and behavior plans, progress notes, summaries, and other related data into the education database.

What you’ll need to be successful:

• Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology or related field;
• Three years’ experience in mental health care delivery.
• Must have a valid, clean driver’s license and be at least 18 years of age
• Must successfully pass all applicable background checks and drug screens

Preferred Qualifications:

• Five or more years’ experience in mental health care delivery
