About The Role:

Are you a creative storyteller with a passion for digital communications? United Way of the Alberta Capital Region is seeking a full-time Associate, Web and Content Creation to join our Brand, Marketing & Product team. In this permanent role, you’ll help shape our digital presence and elevate our brand through compelling content and optimized web experiences.

You’ll work closely with the Portfolio Manager, Corporate Communications and Marketing to develop and deploy engaging content across websites, social media, and other digital platforms. Your work will support our purpose-driven mission to ensure no one in our community is left behind.

The day to day

  • Develop and publish long- and short-form content including web copy, email campaigns, video scripts, social media, and reports.
  • Update and improve website content to support usability, accessibility, and basic SEO best practices.
  • Create and edit graphics, infographics, photos, and videos for promotional and engagement activities.
  • Support podcast production and multimedia storytelling initiatives.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to troubleshoot technical issues and implement digital best practices.
  • Monitor and analyze web and social media performance metrics to inform strategy.
  • Ensure all content aligns with United Way’s brand voice and style guidelines.

About You:

You’re a creative thinker with a strong grasp of digital communications and marketing strategy, eager to apply your exceptional writing and storytelling skills to help engage our community, donors, and partners. You thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, bringing a can-do attitude, attention to detail, and a passion for using storytelling to make a difference.

You’re tech-savvy and comfortable working across multiple platforms, with experience in Wordpress, SEO, and web analytics. You’re proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, and photo/video editing tools, and you’re familiar with project management software like Asana.

You hold a post-secondary degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field, and have at least one year of relevant experience.

  • The starting salary range for this role is $48,800 - $55,000
