What will your role be? 
As a Software Asset Management Administrator, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate records of software assets and ensuring compliance with licensing agreements and regulatory standards. Leveraging ServiceNow SAM Pro, you will manage software models, entitlement data, and discovery mappings, while partnering with stakeholders across the organization to optimize software usage, minimize risk, and support audit readiness.

Job Description

  • Maintain and update software asset records including models discovery mappings and entitlements using ServiceNow SAM Pro to ensure data accuracy and completeness
  • Investigate and resolve unmatched or partially normalized software discovery entries to maintain system integrity and improve recognition accuracy
  • Conduct entitlement reconciliation by aligning license data with discovered installations to determine effective license positions for key software publishers
  • Review reconciliation results and identify actions needed to address non-compliance or overutilization issues
  • Support internal and external audits by preparing accurate documentation responding to inquiries and implementing corrective actions when needed
  • Generate regular and ad hoc reports providing insights on software usage compliance risks and optimization opportunities
  • Contribute to the expansion of SAM capabilities by supporting new license types as additional features and integrations are rolled out
  • Collaborate with IT procurement security and infrastructure teams to ensure software deployments align with contractual entitlements and corporate standards
  • Manually upload or configure entitlement data and troubleshoot errors to ensure accurate representation within SAM Pro
  • Normalize and manage discovery data and software models to enhance recognition and tracking across multiple platforms
  • Assist in developing discovery maps license metrics and other configurations necessary for accurate software identification and reconciliation
  • Communicate findings clearly and professionally to stakeholders including IT leadership procurement and compliance teams
  • Operate independently while also contributing to team initiatives aimed at improving software asset lifecycle processes and governance
  • Foster cross-functional collaboration to strengthen SAM practices and promote a culture of software compliance and accountability

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience with ServiceNow SAM Pro managing software asset records entitlement reconciliation and data normalization
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration information systems or a related field preferred
  • Proficiency in analyzing reconciliation results and identifying actions to achieve license compliance and cost efficiency
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in managing asset records discovery mappings and entitlement uploads
  • Ability to communicate technical and compliance-related information effectively to a wide range of stakeholders
  • Strong analytical problem-solving and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a structured manner
  • Experience supporting audit processes and contributing to licensing and compliance reporting
  • Familiarity with IT asset management best practices and lifecycle governance
  • Certification in ServiceNow or SAM Pro is preferred and demonstrates proficiency in the platform
  • Proficiency in French is a plus and may enhance collaboration in multilingual or international teams
