Senior Test Manager - NSW Trustee and Guardian

  • Temporary full-time vacancy – up to 12 months with possibility of extension.
  • 35 hours per week.
  • Location: This role is based in Sydney (Wynyard). Flexible and hybrid working options available.
  • Clerk Grade: 9/10. Base salary $129,464 to $142,665 p.a. plus 12% superannuation and annual leave loading.

The Project Delivery team within the Information Technology division drives the successful delivery of technology-enabled initiatives that support the organisation’s strategic priorities. The team applies robust governance and best-practice frameworks to ensure projects are delivered efficiently on time, and to a high standard, enabling innovation and lasting value for the community we serve.      


About the role
The Senior Test Manager is responsible for managing the complete testing lifecycle across all stages of the product lifecycle in projects or operational releases. This role encompasses the development of comprehensive test strategies and plans, leadership of internal testing teams, coordination with external vendor test teams, and supervision of defect management and reporting processes to ensure that all solutions adhere to established quality standards and meet business objectives. This role operates within the Information and Technology Division and supports project initiatives such as application modernisation, digital service transitions, and the implementation of complex technical solutions and operational releases.


As the Senior Test Manager, you will: 

  • Analyse business requirements and develop testing strategies that minimise the risk of system outages and identify defects.
  • Develop and maintain testing scripts across all phases (including unit, integration, capacity, system, user acceptance and release) to ensure compatibility with existing applications, hardware, and devices.
  • Prepare and submit detailed test reports to describe testing outcomes and assist developers in the removal of defects
  • Maintain ICT quality management policies and processes, contributing to improved performance and customer satisfaction.
  • Test ICT processes for compliance against documented standards and provide input to improvement programs that enhance the quality of services to the business

About you
The ideal person will have:

  • Extensive experience leading ICT testing across all stages of delivery and acceptance.
  • Functional knowledge of Dynamics 365 and understanding of CRM Modules within Dynamics 365 CRM, such as Sales, Customer Service, Marketing, Field Service, and Project Service Automation.
  • Sound understanding of how business processes are modelled and automated within the system and process mappings.
  • Knowledge of related technologies such as Power Automate, Power Apps, and Power BI.
  • Experience in using Microsoft UI Automation Tools and CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, including automated test execution and reporting integrations.
  • Proficiency with tools such as Azure DevOps Test Plans, Jira, or TestRail for tracking test cases, defects, and metrics.
  • Demonstrated comprehensive knowledge of relevant industry regulations governing CRM implementations, ensuring all testing activities are compliant with applicable standards.
  • Experience working in agile teams and leveraging DevOps principles for iterative, collaborative testing and releases.
  • Strong communication skills to confidently collaborate with a diverse range of customers, colleagues, and senior management.
