About The Day-To-Day
- Evaluate and recommend conventional and CMHC mortgage loans in the Region in accordance with procedures and policy guidelines
- Coordinate with Account Manager and regional VP on new loan applications for all types of real estate transactions from inquiry stage to formal commitment
- Engage directly with clients and brokers throughout the loan application process, ensuring high-quality underwriting standards and cultivating strong, professional relationships
- Review appraisals, environmental and building condition reports and any other third-party reports in accordance with policy
- Review and verify all required documentation from CMHC and the internal credit approval team to ensure completeness and compliance
- Ensure timely and accurate execution of rate locks and delivery of all related documentation to clients and brokers
- Create and monitor monthly results reports, including inputting data through CRM
- Be able to quantify the impact of loans by focusing on improving key metrics, KPIs, and maximizing ROI
About The Qualifications:
- Over 3 years of experience in the commercial real estate finance industry with a strong understanding of Canadian commercial real estate markets
- Strong financial background and acumen
- Comprehensive understanding of CMHC policies, corporate lending guidelines, and regional market dynamics
- Proficient in analyzing financial statements to support informed decision-making
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and time management abilities
- Skilled at prioritizing tasks effectively to meet business objectives
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including data analysis, visualization, and automation
- Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively within teams
- Well-versed in Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Know Your Customer (KYC) compliance requirements
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Thrives under pressure, consistently delivering results within tight deadlines
- CFA, CPA, MFin, or equivalent qualifications are preferred

About the work environment
Peoples Group offers a flexible and hybrid work environment. In this role you will work a combination of in-office and remotely from home. Typically, you'll be working regular business hours, Monday to Friday between 8:00am and 4:30pm with flexibility around start/end times.

Peoples Group is pleased to offer employees a competitive annual salary plus a discretionary profit share opportunity. Salary for this position will vary between $70,000 and $80,000 per year depending on the knowledge, skills, abilities and experience that the chosen candidate possesses.
