Job Summary
The Senior Director of Human Resources is a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for leading the strategic HR direction of the organization. This role will drive enterprise-wide HR initiatives that support business goals, scale organizational effectiveness, foster a high-performance environment, and manage a high-volume talent acquisition team. The Sr. Director of HR serves as a strategic advisor, and operational leader, guiding all aspects of HR, including employee management/relations, workforce planning, organizational development, employee onboarding, and talent acquisition/recruiting.

Responsibilities
Strategic Hr Leadership
- Develop and lead enterprise-wide HR strategy aligned with business priorities and growth objectives.
- Act as a strategic thought partner to the executive team, contributing to organizational planning and transformation efforts.
- Collaborate with operational teams on developing workflows and strategic support from a people perspective to support a growing organization
Organizational Design & Workforce Planning
- Oversee organizational development strategies, including structure, roles, competencies, and change management.
- Lead workforce planning and talent pipeline development to support scaling, restructuring, or transformation efforts.
- Anticipate future talent needs and design programs that enable workforce readiness
People Operations & HR Excellence
- Oversee all HR functions, including Talent Acquisition, Onboarding, Benefits, Compliance, and Employee Relations.
- Ensure HR systems, processes, and practices are scalable, compliant, and aligned with best practices.
- Monitor HR effectiveness through metrics and analytics, using data to drive decisions and improvements.
Risk Management & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to all applicable employment laws, regulations, and internal policies.
- Lead the HR response to legal matters, audits, and complex employee relations issues.
- Maintain a proactive approach to risk mitigation and ethical people practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or related field); MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- 10+ years of HR experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership or executive-level role.
- Significant experience at a large healthcare organization preferred
- Deep knowledge of HR disciplines, including organizational development, talent acquisition, and employee relations.
- Excellent strategic mindset, data‑driven decision-making, and analytical capability.
- Strong executive presence and communication skills for interfacing with C‑suite and facility leadership.
- Collaborative leadership style and experience in promoting a positive employee experience.
- HR certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR) strongly preferred.
Compensation
- Compensation: 180 - 220k base + performance bonus
- Location: Based in New York City, full‑time
