Your Role:
At MilliporeSigma, the Logistics Technician 3 will perform a variety of functions according to established protocols in support of the Process and Analytical Development Team. This position is based in St. Louis at 3300 South Second Street.
Responsibilities:
- Execute all operations safely, consistently meeting quality and safety standards
- Order lab supplies through an inventory management system, ensuring that the system is up-to-date with Purchase Requisition/Purchase Order status; also communicating receipt timelines to end users
- Track ordering progress through a procurement management system and generate expense reports
- Utilize SAP to complete goods receipts and interface with the accounting team to reconcile invoices
- Perform laboratory/stockroom functions including equipment upkeep (preventative maintenance), restocking, waste management, material transport, and Receive/Unpack incoming shipments
- Independently evaluate material hazards to establish safe handling requirements
- Participate in department 5S improvement activities
Physical Attributes:
- Wear PPE as required
- Lifting, pushing and pulling up to 80 pounds
Who You Are
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED with 4+ years of experience performing tasks in a logistics role
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience working with SAP quality or inventory systems and transactions
- Experience with Ariba, Quartzy, Concur and Prism applications
- Ability to independently review safety data sheets and determine appropriate handling precautions and personal protective equipment
- Experience working with Microsoft Office platforms such as Excel and Word
- Work history demonstrating time management, attention to detail, and drive to perform individually as well as team member
- Approach all tasks with an independent initiative to create value
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated improvements utilizing 5S methodology
Pay Range for this position: $25.00-$44.00/Hour
The offer range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base pay compensation for this position. The actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level of experience, education, skills, and other job-related factors. Position may be eligible for sales or performance-based bonuses. Benefits offered by the Company include health insurance, paid time off (PTO), retirement contributions, and other perquisites.
