Position Overview
Kaseya is seeking a Senior Manager of Software Engineering to lead the technical direction and execution strategy for our Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery (BCDR) solutions. This role serves as a critical bridge between hands-on engineering execution and broader organizational strategy, providing strategic guidance, delivery accountability, and people leadership.

The ideal candidate is an experienced engineering leader with deep expertise in cloud-native SaaS platforms, high-availability systems, and IT resilience. You will scale engineering practices, drive delivery excellence, and ensure the success of customer-critical products.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and execute the technical roadmap for Kaseya's BCDR platform, ensuring scalability, resilience, and alignment with long-term business objectives
• Lead and grow multiple teams of engineers, leads, and architects while fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and operational excellence
• Establish engineering standards across the department to ensure performance, security, and compliance in mission-critical systems
• Collaborate closely with Product, Security, and Operations leadership to balance innovation with stability, driving predictable, high-quality delivery
• Champion cloud-native architecture and SaaS best practices, focusing on high availability, disaster recovery, and data protection
• Define and monitor engineering KPIs and SLAs, ensuring transparency and measurable impact across stakeholders
• Drive cross-functional alignment between engineering, product, and business leadership to support strategic initiatives
• Act as an escalation point for complex technical and organizational challenges, managing risk and maintaining stakeholder confidence
• Serve as a thought leader within the engineering organization, raising the maturity of development practices and mentoring next-generation leaders

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in software engineering, with 5+ years leading multiple teams or engineering functions
• Proven background in cloud-native SaaS development and high-availability/disaster recovery systems
• Experience developing and operating large-scale distributed systems with strict reliability and uptime requirements
• Strong technical foundation in Java or similar languages, with prior hands-on development experience
• Experience leading in AWS or other major cloud environments, with a focus on scalability, performance optimization, and cost management
• Demonstrated success in scaling engineering organizations and implementing efficient, data-driven processes
• Deep understanding of IT process automation, including backup, recovery, compliance, and audit requirements
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence across teams and levels

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience managing BCDR-focused engineering initiatives
• Background in enterprise SaaS delivery with high SLAs
• Track record of leading through change and driving organizational transformation
• Passion for resilience engineering and innovation in business continuity solutions
