Title: Solutions Architect III 

Position Summary

The Solution Architecture focus specializes in aligning solutions with the agreed business and / or enterprise-wide architectures and acting as a bridge between the development team and the architects. 

Ensures that developed/modified application components align with the business solution and enterprise architecture and meet solution performance goals. Undertakes detailed design work that is in accordance with standards and guidelines of the overall enterprise architecture and develops high-level and functional design documents. Identifies and resolves cross-capability, cross-release issues that impact the business architecture integrity. Provides specialist advice to the business regarding issues in the application of technology to enhance business performance. Works with business analysts in defining business requirements and works with the development and support managers to develop detailed system design, in line with the solutions architectures. Undertakes problem diagnosis and analyzes and designs production fixes and minor enhancements. Collaborates with developers on scoping of projects, ensuring that they are scoped in accordance with architectural objectives and principles. Engages with developers to solve design problems and provide corresponding solution specifications; ensures adequate collaboration occurs where programmers service the same customer. Contributes to the maintenance of a central knowledge repository for design models, development standards, tips and techniques for tools, building components, test plans, test scripts and project deliverables. 

Essential Job Functions

  • Code First: Spend the majority of your time writing, reviewing, and shipping production-quality .NET and Angular code.  
  • Deliver product initiatives that drive revenue and improve efficiency in line with business strategy.  
  • Define the overall architecture for applications, ensuring timely delivery, optimal performance, maintainability, and scalability.  
  • Partner with Development, Architecture, and Product colleagues to maintain a forward-facing road map and backlog  
  • Lead end-to-end technical design from concept to deployment.  
  • Drive architectural patterns, best practices, and code-quality standards 
  • Provide architectural guidance for development teams as well as engaging in the day-to-day coding to deliver customer value.  
  • Oversee integration with backend services, ensuring efficient data flows and secure communication between UI and APIs.  
  • Mentor and guide developers, providing code reviews, architectural direction, and personal development coaching.  
  • Collaborate with UI/UX designers to implement responsive, accessible, and pixel-perfect designs 
  • Evaluate and integrate third-party libraries, plugins, and tools to accelerate development and improve application capabilities.  
  • Conduct performance tuning, memory optimization, and troubleshooting of complex issues.  
  • Stay ahead of emerging trends in .NET, Angular, and cloud-native architecture.  

Position Requirements:

  • Proven success delivering full-stack solutions — Angular front end paired with .NET microservices backends.  
  • Strong experience designing and building RESTful microservices with .NET, including authentication, security, and scalability best practices.  
  • Solid grasp of RESTful APIs 
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for deployment and automation.  
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms and integration interfaces (Azure or AWS)  
  • Strong skills debugging, performance profiling, and optimization (DevTools, .NET profilers).  
  • Leadership through coding excellence — you mentor by example, raising the bar for the entire engineering team.  
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across design, product, and engineering teams.  
  • Familiarity with secure coding practices, including encryption and authentication strategies.  
  • Ability to understand and maintain legacy code bases is a plus (.NET Framework, VB.net, ASP.net, PHP, MSSQL)

Physical Demands

Minimum physical exertion. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently required to sit, communicate, reach, and manipulate objects, tools or controls. The position requires mobility. Duties involve moving materials weighing up to 5 pounds on a regular basis. Manual dexterity and coordination are required over 75% of the work period while operating equipment such as computer keyboard and mouse.   

Work Environment

The working conditions will vary between an office environment and a remote home environment. The ideal protected indoor work environment is a clean, non-hazardous work area. The noise level in the work environment is typical of most office or remote home environments with telephones, personal interruptions, and background noises.
