Job Title:
Assistant Vice President – Servicing
Location & Shift:
- Hyderabad (Berkadia Services India Pvt Ltd)
- Flexi Shift: 11:00am to 8:00pm (with flexibility to stretch as business requires)
Servicing Overview:
Berkadia’s Servicing division overseeing key aspects of the commercial real estate loan life cycle post-disbursement. This includes loan boarding, collateral management, compliance, modifications, and payoffs.
Role Overview:
The AVP is a senior leader and responsible for functions like surveillance, financial statement analysis, rent rolls, site inspections, and watch-list loans.
The role combines strategic execution, people leadership, operational oversight, and continuous improvement in alignment with global business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership & Communication:Lead, motivate, mentor, and coach line managers to ensure effective communication and execution of business strategy. Create an engaging and inclusive environment where team members understand expectations and their achievements are recognized.
- Strategic Collaboration:Work closely with India and U.S. stakeholders to understand and implement business strategy, tailoring operational plans to meet global objectives.
- Operational Execution:Manage multiple servicing verticals (including investor and rating agency requests) with an emphasis on accuracy, timeliness, and regulatory compliance.
- Business Metrics & KPIs:Establish, track, and report on business metrics; proactively drive corrective actions to ensure delivery of KPIs.
- Process Improvement, Transformation & Innovation:Partner with transformation and technology teams to evaluate and improve business processes, drive automation and standardization, propose enhancements, and support the implementation of new ideas and technological solutions.
- Risk, Compliance, Audit & Regulatory Controls:Anticipate operational risks, implement mitigation plans and robust quality controls, and ensure adherence to all auditing, regulatory and compliance standards relevant to CRE servicing. Proactively escalate and resolve issues.
- Change Management & Corporate Initiatives:Oversee the rollout of corporate initiatives and employee development programs aligned with Berkadia’s change management philosophy and People strategy.
- Employee Engagement & Talent Management:Collaborate with business leaders and the People team to support employee engagement, satisfaction, retention, productivity, and talent acquisition.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline, MBA preferred
- Minimum 14 years’ professional experience (with at least 8 years in a people leadership role, preferably in the CRE industry)
